9/16/24 It has been a little over a month since Audra Downing had the stroke. Her healing as been a roller coaster. She is physically feeling better. Unfortunately now she is dealing with severe nerve pain all down her left side. The doctor says this can be a good sign that her brain is trying to rewire the nerves. Nerve healing is long process. So this could be a year long process of her dealing with the nerve pain. We are still unable to work and she is still requiring 24/7 care since for the first 6 months she is at risk of a second stroke!! She also has deminished feeling on her left side from her head to her toes. She is a fall risk and is at risk for injuries because of this!! Please keep praying for us!! We appreciate it so much!!!

Just wanted to post an update! Audra Downing had a massive stroke8/12/24, she had to have brain surgery. They went thru her right arm artery and used a catheter to remove the clot that was in the right midline lobe of her brain. She has now been home a little over a week. She is miraculously able to walk, talk and use her left side which was completely paralyzed before the surgery. She is recovering far better than any of the doctors thought. She has to have 24 hour care currently and her recovery could take 6mo-a year. Her brain is still recovering and we will not know what her deficits are till her brain “settles” meaning completely heals and stops swelling. Please add us to any prayer lists you have!! We are currently unable to work due to this situation and it is a stressful time!! Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us!!!

Unfortunately Audra Downing had a massive stroke 8/12/24 she is home after 8 days in the hospital and is trying to heal. This has made it difficult for us to be able to work. Please pray for us during this difficult time!! We are hoping to make an appearance at the Carnitas festival as long as Audra continues to improve!! Today she had a set back so please keep praying for her!! Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support!

7/27/24 Luna, NM!! We are at the grounds setting up!! Matthew will be smoking some delicious meats all night long!! Real wood low and slow smoked food!! TGI Frybread will be slinging some Fry-Bread goodness!! El Gato Negro Grub will be cooking up there amazing food and there will be Ice-cream from Johnny Popping Ice-Cream Truck!! There are some other vendors selling things from tumblers to clothes!! Don’t miss out on seeing one of the oldest running rodeos!! See y’all tomorrow!!
