Growing up, Rutt’s Hut was a ritual. My parents used to take me and my brother Danny there as kids. As adults, it has always remained a staple. For those of you who know our story, Danny is the reason Ghost Hawk exists. He’s been gone for over a decade now, but his spirit is woven into everything we do. And I can tell you… he would be absolutely STOKED for this.
Over the last few years we’ve been invited to pour at some of the best independent beer festivals on the East Coast… Wild Acres at The Drowned Lands. Hops 4 Hope at Lost Tavern Brewing. Pizza Party at 𝑲𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝑩𝒐𝒓𝒐 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐.. The Brewers Derby at Alternate Ending Beer Co. // New Jersey Brewery. Green City at Other Half Brewing. The Block Party at Tin Barn Brewing. Mighty Fine at Good Word Brewing & Public House. Every single one left us inspired and hungry to bring something like this home.
In New Jersey, our limited brewery license only allows us to serve our own beer. You need a full liquor license to do anything else. But it turns out the perfect partner for something like this was right across the street the whole time.
This project has been over a year in the making… and we’re proud to be throwing Clifton’s first EVER craft beer festival alongside the LEGENDARY Rutt’s Hut in their parking lot this October!
