OMG! You have got to read this. You’re never going to believe what this farmer is saying! Read it then share it please!!!
Dihydrogen monoxide.
It is one of the most common chemical compounds on Earth, and yet it is associated with an astonishing amount of death and destruction every single year.
It accelerates the oxidation of metals, contributes to the weathering of rock that can reshape entire landscapes, is the primary component of acid rain, and is found in every malignant tumor ever studied. It is used in nuclear power plants, countless industrial manufacturing processes, and the production of chemicals ranging from fertilizers to explosives. In its gaseous form it can inflict severe thermal burns. In its solid form it destroys living tissue through frostbite. Thousands of people die annually after inhaling it, and natural disasters involving it have claimed millions of lives throughout history.
It exists in every river, lake, stream, ocean, glacier, and cloud. It makes up roughly sixty percent of the human body and is essential for nearly every known form of life. It is also remarkably addictive. Once your body becomes dependent on it, complete withdrawal is always fatal.
Every single human being who has ever lived has either been exposed to it or died before they had the chance. Every person alive today who has been exposed to it will one day die.
So why isn't there worldwide outrage? Why isn't it banned?
Because dihydrogen monoxide simply means two hydrogen atoms bonded to one oxygen atom.
DHMO is water.
Every statement above was scientifically accurate. Nothing was fabricated. The only thing that changed was the presentation. Facts were carefully selected, stripped of context, and arranged to make something completely ordinary sound terrifying.
That is exactly why fear is such a powerful tool. You do not have to lie to mislead someone. Sometimes all you have to do is tell the truth in a carefully edited way.
I'll give activists one thing. Many have mastered the art of fear mongering. They can make modern agriculture sound every bit as dangerous as I just made water sound.
So before sharing that viral post claiming farmers are poisoning your food, abusing every animal, or destroying the environment, ask a farmer. There are thousands of us on social media who genuinely enjoy explaining what happens on a farm, why we do what we do, and the science behind it. We may not have the flashiest videos or the loudest voices, but we do have firsthand experience.
Water is not trying to kill you.
Neither are farmers.
And just like water, you need both to survive.
So before believing the loudest voice on the internet, ask someone who actually does the work. Ask a farmer.
