Today’s update is about our bottling process. Last year I posted a picture and told you that it takes about 35 seconds to fill a quart bottle before it’s sealed and boxed. This year we made an improvement to our bottler by adding a dual spout set up. Now we are filling 2 quart bottles in just about 37 seconds. Our batches are bigger this year because of our R.O machine, so this setup really helps us get the syrup bottled and sealed quickly and efficiently.⏱️
One more little change that makes a pretty big difference.
We love this maple life!🍁🍁

Hello from Belote Farms Maple Syrup!🍁🍁It’s been a little crazy this year, but it’s all good stuff.
We made some improvements to our process and so far we love the way things are working!💪
First and foremost we purchased a reverse osmosis machine. We’ve been talking about it for awhile and the right opportunity came our way so we jumped on it. This allows us to decrease our boil times significantly because the machine takes massive amounts of water out of the sap so we don’t have to boil it all out.

☀️😎Beautiful sunshine to start the day, barrels coming back to the shack, and our last drop off for the season. We pulled lines and brought the barrels home today. We’ll start cleaning up tomorrow. It’s hard to believe our season is already over. It’s always bittersweet. 🍁🍁

Today is another great day making some fantastic maple syrup! We collected another 1,000 gallons of sap and we’ve been boiling since 10:30 this morning. We bottled 25 of these 2 ounce bottles for a customer. If you ever need some fancy bottles, let us know, and we’d be happy to see what we can do for you.🍁🍁

Today was a great day!! We started the boiler at 8:30 a.m., had our state license inspection at 9:00 a.m., collected about 1,300 gallons of sap and added it to our 650 gallons from yesterday, and shut the boiler down at 10:00 p.m. 61 gallons of pure maple goodness made today!!!🍁🍁🍁👊👊

47 gallons per minute… This is our unloading process. The tank in the trailer is 1,000 gallons. We pump it off into our 800 gallon drop tank, then it goes up to be preheated before it gets boiled. So it takes about 17 minutes to fill our drop tank. Not too shabby😁🍁.

It takes about 35 seconds to fill a quart jar with our pure maple goodness. Then it’s off to be hand capped and packed in a box with 11 of its best friends until it makes its way to a happy new home some day! We love this maple life!🍁🍁

We weren’t sure we would collect today but we decided to go for it. Sap wasn’t running great but we managed to make another 18 gallons of syrup tonight! That puts is at 110 for the year so far. That’s a pretty good start! It looks like we should get a few decent runs this week. Can’t wait to make some more pure maple goodness!!!🍁🍁😎
