Good morning, farm friends! We are sad to share this, but keeping a farmer’s market table is not compatible with our family’s needs this summer. I will miss our chats about growing food on Saturday mornings at market.

Now, on to happier news. The garden is in high gear, the tomato plants are taller than me and thriving. It may look like a jungle to some, but each plant is doing their part producing nutritious food for our family.

Hello, farm friends! We took two months away from social media to rest and prepare for a new season of growing food.
There are many exciting things going on around here, so I’ll share a few updates.
We’re expecting more meat chickens later this month, then turkeys will follow shortly.
After two seasons of work, we are excited to say we produce all the compost for our garden. Many thanks to our animals for that. 🤪
The plum tree is on verge of exploding in gorgeous blooms and I ❤️ it!!
We also have a multitude of eggs available and will deliver to select locations in upstate.
Spring is full of hope! 🌸 ❤️

Leftover bread from yesterday’s farm day made for excellent breakfast today.
1 large loaf cut in small squares
1/2 gallon milk from our Heather
10 eggs from our lovely layers
1/2 cup sugar
Vanilla and rum extract (about 1-2 teaspoons each)
Mix eggs, milk, sugar, and extracts, pour over bread. This is great to do the night before and let it sit in fridge or let it soak 15min before baking.
Bake @350 for 35-40 minutes or until golden on top.
