Well, we’ve made the difficult decision to suspend operating Dans Dogs. We’re too busy with family, work, and church and it’s time to focus on those things. I don’t think this is the definitive end to Dans Dogs, more of just a “see you later” and not goodbye forever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for those who came and saw us and tried our food. We are very grateful to you. Instead of just having the trailer sit around and collect dust we are going to sell our concession trailer. Please reach out via personal message for more details. I’ll post it on marketplace within the hour with more information for the general public.

The Dan’s Dogs trailer will be in use this Saturday, the 23rd in Mecca to help serve the drive thru pulled pork dinner at Free Life Community Church - Mecca Campus. Dinners are $10. The money is being used to buy Christmas presents for needy families. If you’re not interested in the dinner but have kids, there’s a trunk or treat happening too. Both the dinner and trunk or treat are from 5-8. Shout-out to CCS Buildings for donating candy!

🚨🚨Hot Dog Alert!🚨🚨

We will be serving our delicious dogs, brats, and Italian sausage this coming Saturday at Rockville Lake for the Parke County Youth Soccer Association tournament. Come see us if you’re there or if you’re craving a Dan’s Dog, we will be serving from 11-2.

As we get ready to kick off the Little Italy Festival I’d like to share a little about why this is one of my favorite festivals to promote and attend since, well forever. This is one of the many stories in the Clinton area during the Little Italy Festival.

My family came over in the early 20th century from the Torino area of Italy and was part of the migration to America. They were welcomed through Ellis Island and settled in the Lyford area. It was my great, great grandpa Giovanni who came over and met his wife in America. Giovanni eventually changed his name to Johnny.

Have some great food (from Dan’s Dogs or not) with some vino and toast the incredible generations that came before us who had the courage to risk their livelihoods in order to do incredible things. I know I’m grateful for it.

Here’s our menu for the Little Italy Festival. 🇮🇹
We’ve added a couple new items special for the festival:

1. Italian Sodas: made to order, Our Italian sodas use all natural flavored and naturally sweetened syrup with carbonated water to make a light and refreshing soda. Add cream for free (we recommend the cream, but you do you, boo boo)

2. Italian Sausage: Quarter Pound Chicago (pronounced Shi-CAH-go) made Italian sausage. Enjoy with any toppings you’d like.

3. Noni’s Chocolate Almond Biscotti: the classic Italian cookie that’s crunchy and subtly sweet.

4. Nachos: Add any toppings you’d like, we like them with Dan’s Coney Sauce, Nacho Cheese, and Sriracha.

5. Bacon Jam: Sweet, tangy, oniony, Indiana made goodness. It costs a little extra, but it sure is worth it if you’re looking for something new.

“We have sadly decided it time to sell the hot dog cart, my wife and co-owner, Nichole, has forced me to do it. She’s also been the best supportive wife and pushed me to continue with my dream as we’ve decided to expand our business with a new food trailer. She’s the best.” We will be posting pictures of updates to the trailer as we work to convert it into the mobile kitchen of our dreams to better serve you all!
