What's Cook'n?' From Central NY to the Mohawk Valley, we're bringing Brooklyn flavor to your table! 🍳 Enjoy great recipes and local flavors while supporting small businesses. I moved to this godforsaken Upstate New York area 25 years ago, but I still have my accent. (It's actually all of you who have the accent!) So I'm an insurance fraud investigator by day, but my true passion is food. I love to

cook and eat, and I'm always experimenting with new recipes. I'm also a big fan of trying new restaurants, and I'm not afraid to give my honest opinion (Oh, you just wait). I'm starting this page to share my love of food with the world, and with my family and friends. I'll be posting recipes, restaurant/food reviews, and behind-the-scenes photos from my kitchen. I'll also share some funny stories about my day-to-day life with my husband Jerry, my kids Amedeo, and Brooke, my stepson Ryan, and our crazy dog Pippi. And I'm also inviting everyone to share their own recipes and food reviews on the page. Let's make this a community where we can all celebrate our love of food! Alright... It's time for Deb's Creamy Steak Fettuccine. This one’s for the people who say “I don’t have time to cook.” You had time to scroll for 2 hours but not 20 minutes for THIS? 😂

Steak. Pasta. Butter. Garlic. Little heat. Little cream. Done. No weird ingredients, no 47 steps, no “reduce until your life has meaning.”
Just real food that actually tastes like something.

If you can boil water and not panic, you can make this and if you mess it up? I don’t know what to tell you.

Take a crispy fried chicken cutlet, top it with prosciutto, gorgonzola, julienne sun-dried tomatoes, and finish it with a drizzle of hot honey.

Yeah
 it’s as good as it sounds.

Crispy. Salty. Creamy. Sweet heat.
Basically a chicken cutlet that decided to become a rock star.

 you know what we need right now? A Fried Bologna and Long Hot sandwich! So let me tell you
 Hapanowicz Bros. Meat Market is were you go for Bologna.

Thick bologna, beautiful long hot peppers on toasted Italian bread. Add a little spicy brown deli mustard and bam! Simple, and wonderful.

 Heron Creek Golf Club right here in Clinton. They are open all winter, quietly serving up bar food that has no business being that good.

I ordered a turkey burger and immediately declared it the best I've had. The wings? Banging.
The garlic parm? Crispy, buttery, ridiculous.
Also... If you’re a Friday fish fry person

The kitchen’s finally done, I survived the chaos, and we’re not easing back in with something polite.

We’re making Shrimp Scampi.

Salted butter. Six cloves of garlic. Lemon. Wine. A full pound of pasta because we respect ourselves.

It’s fast, it’s bold, and if you burn the garlic, start over. I’m not defending you.
