From the Rooter to the Tooter - Lard Soap
Some people have the very wrong idea that animal fats like lard and tallow will clog the pores and make the soap “heavy”. Lard or pig fat will produce creamy and stable lather. In addition, it has mild moisturizing qualities that will prevent the soap from drying the skin. The composition of lard makes it more easily absorbed into our skin.
Saturday at the Holly Springs Farmers Market we will be bringing Simple Soaps (unscented and tea tree) made with lard from our Pasture Raised Pigs and Farm Fresh Milk from our herd of Nubian Dairy Goats.
