Thought she might give birth today but wanted to go visit Matt and Emily in Dubuque for Dubuquefest -so was pretty sure I would come home to a calf- NOPE! TWO CALVES! Now I know why with the winter we had and her being very large WHY SHE LOOKED SO TOUGH!

Just let the steers and heifer into a fresher mowed area. Cows are not keeping pasture down - time to call in the recruits! Just hope the bull can keep himself in check...,

These are my last flowers of the season. I don’t see to many bumble bees or honey bees which means I should make up some sugar water for my bees so I better get busy while I have day light:

New calf now a week old - Aqui late night silly outside walks, if you can call them that and a baby mantis, love these bugs!
