Well, this is pretty exciting!

Liam and Blythe’s dream to combine herds from the across the country and see what happens was quite the undertaking. Working together as a TEAM with various herds, who have become very special members of our family, is what makes this even more exciting. Years of hard work, over coming challenges, and digging deep to persevere all to produce this doe, carrying our herd name….a dream come true.

A special shoutout to Kirt Schnipke for raising Nalet under a wonderful management program and pushing her to be a true competitor!

Happy Easter from all of us at DSF 🐇🐣

This morning proved to be very bittersweet as we concluded our final kidding season, with twin does from Dreamy Sunset MM Pea.

Please meet Tater and Twirler, both of which are available. ❤️🐐

As we move into our final year please watch our page for equipment, supplies, and miscellaneous items we will be offering. We had posted several items last fall, but didn’t really push too hard to move them, knowing we had another year. Now that we are only a few months away from the end of a wild ride, we will be posting many more items and will be very aggressive with pricing. For now, Liam would like to see these beautiful ladies find a great show home and a future home for a dry yearling, which will be available in mid-Aug.

Please reach out with for more information.

Here is the sale post for many many items we will not be using. There were many plans, outside of just breeding and showing goats, but life had other plans, so several items are new and never used. Everything is listed in the comments with a short description and price. As we continue to pull out additional items and make decisions on what we will be keeping, it will be added to this post, so be sure to check back. Please comment on the item to claim. We will reach out individually to arrange payment and delivery. If an item needs shipped, it will be at the cost of the buyer.

Over the course of the next few weeks we will be sorting through goat equipment and supplies, and posting items for sale. We are not selling certain equipment such as milk stands, feeders and stainless buckets, because we still need them at this point, but items we won’t be using this next year will be available. If there is something specific you are looking for, let us know, we might have it and be willing to go ahead and sell. Some things will be sold individually, some we will put together in lots. Most everything is able to be shipped, at buyer’s expense.
To start things off, we have decided to go ahead and sell our Capralite Milk Machine. It is a complete system with the 3 gal bucket and set up to milk 2 goats at a time. We will also include the original container it was shipped to us in. You will need a new filter assembly because the old design had a cup that easily cracked and we never replaced it. Other than that it works as it should and was washed and sterilized when we packed it away 3 years ago. Of course, being in the barn that time it’s dusty again, but is still a great machine! Hoses and inflations are included, but you may want new ones before using them on your herd. I have included pictures from the Capralite site for you to see current pricing and replacement parts you may need or at least want to consider.
Priced at $1200

Only the two grade kids are still available. PM for additional details.

Show season is over and final decisions have been made for who will be staying in the barn and who are looking for new barns to call home.

A few things changed as discussions took place, from earlier posts, but at the end of the day, Liam set his number at 4. To think at one point we were between 50 & 60, now there will be a total 5 in the barn (Liam’s 4 & Blythe’s 1),as we enter into his Senior year of high school and 10th year of 4-H.
There is a brief description in the following list and pictures within this post. Please PM for additional information and pricing.
Note: Registration numbers are listed to easily look up pedigrees. These does are priced firm with no additional discounts for multiples or youth.

The list is as follows:

PENDING!!!! Dreamy Sunset OBD Pearl AB2237016
(Jufeng X Deviant)
Pearl is a first freshening 2yr old. She placed 1st in 4-H and 2nd w/ 2nd udder at the Indiana State Fair this year. She looks a lot like her dam did at that age, being a well balanced doe with a very promising mammary system.

SOLD!!!
Dreamy Sunset MM Pickle AB2237015
(Ignis X Max Muncy)
Pickle is a first freshening 2yr old. This is the very last Ignis daughter. Being sired by Max, she is a lovely doe. Unfortunately, Pickle lost her pregnancy about 6 weeks before her due date so we were not able to see her udder develop, but if her GA and Dairiness are any sign of what’s to come, she will be a great doe.

Dreamy Sunset DD String Bean PE2382164
Dreamy Sunset DD Spicy Shrimp PE2382163
(Kold X Dapper Dan)
Bean and Shrimp are littermates from a set of triplets and both 100% Oberhasli, registered as Recorded Grade. Their dam did not fit the color standard of our liking, so we chose to grade her. Every kid produced from Kold has been well within color standard, so getting back to blue papers rather and brown shouldn’t be difficult in a couple more generations, or they are great does to play around with other breed genetics. These are the last kids that will ever be available as Blythe has officially retired Kold, only to be a barn mate to her buddy Jufeng.

Would anyone happen to be looking for new jr herdsire that can be used next fall, or a pet wether? We have a 2week old buck kid that we need to unload. A part of me hates to wether him, but really just want to move him quickly. PM for details. Pedigree shown if interested as a buck. Dams udder pictured at 2 weeks fresh.
