Good morning, friends! Many have reached out to us about this post this morning.

First: Thank you for thinking of us. Your concern for us really makes us feel loved. We love ya back!

Second: This isn't a scam. This is violent crime and evil. This has made us beyond mad. We have been in discussions around the dinner table about this. We were made aware of this initial incident when it occurred a couple weeks ago. We do wish that this warning was put out sooner to everyone but, nonetheless, we are happy this warning has been put out there.

Third: Based on our discussions together and some sketchy encounters we’ve had with drop in customers that we didn’t know, couldn’t verify who they were, or who weren’t local, we are adjusting to protect ourselves and property from potential harm. To our normal local customers, we are still happy and available for you. For new requests, I am sorry to say we will have to be cautious and pickup times will be adjusted for safety. We normally are open anytime you want to stop by for a pickup but just can’t anymore be due to our location. We aren’t saying no, we are just saying we need to be careful. You will need to arrange pickup with us before hand and can always do so by texting/calling 803-487-0735.

We do things a little different around here. We will help and love absolutely anyone that shows desire to help themselves, but we won’t be taken advantage of. I won’t allow my family to be harmed. We are compassionate and love this community. We have seen issues in the past though. Our goods, property, and money has been stolen from our honor system stand in the past. We just accepted it and continued. We thought that if someone is hungry enough to steal, they need it but just wish they would ask for help. We donate produce and meat often to those needing it. Though we are compassionate, we aren’t weak, and this instance shows clearly that this wasn’t done by people on hard times. This was done by evil.

We are raising strong kids to be effective marksmen. Those little knuckleheads are sharpshooters at this point and their parents will knock the wing off a fly at 1,000 yards. We protect ourselves and those around us. We have an excavator. We have plenty of room to dig holes. Those who seek to cause harm won’t be shown compassion.

To this community, we love ya and we care for ya. Look out for each other. Handle your business. Ask for help when you need it. Small farms face enough challenge without evil people doing evil deeds. My momma won’t like it, but I’ll just say it. Some people just need killin.

Love ya!

The YCSO has had a report of groups of individuals going to home-based farming businesses in York County and using distraction techniques to burglarize the victim’s home. The group usually consists of four or more individuals. A few of the individuals distract the victim(s) while the other group members enter the residence to burglarize it. These groups are known to mostly use mini-vans of all makes and models with out-of-state or temporary tags.
