Currently processing jalapeno pepper butter. I would've never thought of this recipe if it wasn't for one of my good friends dad making this when we were growing up. Thanks for the wisdom Jack King Sr. Here's to carrying on your tradition that noone could refuse to eat.

Lots of upkeep with peppers for better and higher yields.

# 1 pruning peppers, like tomatoes, peppers will sprout stems between leaves. After week 1 I prune the tops. This will force the plant to branch out essentially, creating 2 plants in one. By pruning the bottom(below the split) leaves and shoots will increases air flow. Prevent mold and diseases.

# 2 let the plants mature before peppers are produced. Simply pluck off any flowers until the plant has matured or until mid-July for us. (Hot peppers are slow growers so they just get the Pruning no flower plucking)

Notable mentions tarp the soil to hold moisture in/ prevent weeds/ increase soil temps. Stakes to support the high yields.

This also could be applied to your tomato plants

Reason #1 as to why we have Great Pyrenees. This evening Jep and I were shooting his bb gun out back while the dogs and puppies played in the fence. As Jep and I wrapped up Duke had seen an eagle eying up our backyard friends. He immediately sounded the alarm at its presence. While it was awesome to see an eagle that close I'm sure the smaller animals were grateful for Duke today. Props to Birdie too for barking at the wind changing directions
