All Peter Rabbit Farms romaine is grown, harvested, cooled, and shipped in the Coachella Valley. Which is in Riverside County in the Southern California desert.

We include a "Grown in Coachella Valley, Riverside County, CA" paneling on all our romaine boxes so our customers know exactly where it's coming from.

FDA's 11.22.19 Advisory applies to Romaine lettuce from Salinas area counties which includes Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey Counties.

"Romaine lettuce that was harvested outside of the Central Coast growing regions of northern and central California do not appear to be related to the current outbreak. There is no recommendation for consumers or retailers to avoid using romaine harvested from these sources." - FDA Press Release November 26, 2018

Does anyone have big plans this weekend to go see the new Peter Rabbit Movie ? We held a contest with our customers this week. One lucky winner will receive tickets to the movie.

Peter Rabbit makes the jump from beloved storybook character to the big screen in this irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. James Corden voices the character of Peter.

We're just finishing up our Romaine harvest this year but there's just enough left for lunch today. With Romaine fresh from Peter Rabbit Farms this Hand Salad will be delicious!

We call this a hand salad because lettuce and dip just doesn’t sound like nearly as much fun.

The "Orange Wave" has started again! Last week, we resumed our monthly donation of carrots straight from the field to Hidden Harvest. Along with Bolthouse Farms, we will donate carrots monthly through the Coachella Valley carrot season. Hidden Harvest then cleans the carrots and donates them to local food banks. Here on the farm things are humming along! Our leaf and winter vegetable harvest are in full swing. We are nurturing our spring Bell Pepper and Eggplant plants. This is one of our lettuce fields showing the key ingredients to a successful crop CA sunshine, water, and healthy soil.

In December, we had a field of Romaine that was growing too fast and did not meet the standards of our customers. Our neighbor Hidden Harvest paid workers to harvest the Romaine. The Romaine was donated to local food banks to feed those in need in the Coachella Valley.

Our employees' safety is our top priority! Today we conducted First Aid and CPR training with our supervisors and employees. We do our best to prevent injuries and illnesses from happening with safety training. Our employees are prepared in case an accident or illness does happen.
