Yes, soil temps are finally trending down and we actually got some rain (remember what that was?), but let’s not kid ourselves — if you put on NH₃ today, it’s SIX. MONTHS. until April 20.

That’s 180 days of trusting that Mother Nature won’t play roulette with your nitrogen investment. 🎲🌧️🌤️❄️

And while we’re at it — remember that whole 4R stewardship thing everyone likes to brag about on their brochures? Yeah… this would be the “Right time” part. 😅

So maybe take a deep breath, enjoy the smell of fresh rain and not anhydrous, and wait just a bit longer. 🌽

IL Corn is inviting nominations for:
• One farmer (to receive a $50 gift card)
• Three elevators (to receive a lunch for their team and farmers in October)

We’ll collect nominations through October 8 (5PM CST). Winners will be chosen at random with a prize wheel and announced on October 10.
