Nope, it’s not another mountain rumor!

After 33 years in the restaurant business, and 27 years proudly serving the mountain community, Alfonso’s Hideaway will be closing on January 30th.

It’s with a heavy heart we make this announcement, it is immeasurably hard to describe what this community means to us. All of the people who helped us, the people who welcomed our family, those who became our family, we cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciate you!

We started from very humble beginnings with a passion for the American dream and the desire to share our food with our community. We now can look back at 3 decades of service, generations of customers, and see the legacy we created.

Through our food, It was always about family. The recipes Alfonso took from his mother in Guanajuato, Mexico. Our family growing by our side - not many people have the luxury of working with their spouse for 30 years! We think of the people who saw us as their regular spot, those families whose babies in booster chairs now have their own babies! Everything we did was about family.

From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot express how thankful we are for our team. We have operated as a skeleton crew through the pandemic and they never ceased to amaze us with their passion and drive to get the job done. Make sure you thank them too when you get a chance!

In the end, our business leaves this community with a legacy of pride, knowing we wholesomely did everything from the bottom of our hearts. While this is the end of Alfonso’s Hideaway Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, we will still be around and can’t wait to share our new journeys with you, so look at this as both a happy ending and a new beginning. Till then we will say Adios!
