It's the post you've all been waiting for! It's the ice cream flavor announcement!

The final Canaan Community Church Craft & Farmer's Market of the year is upon us and we have a full line up of flavors for you:

🍨 French Vanilla - classic dense custard based vanilla ice cream

🏕️S'mores - it's back and it's even better this time! The marshmallow flavored base really shines in this batch. The mixins are made with the homemade graham crackers and marshmallow fluff with chocolate melted in between. We think it's better than ever.

🍨Candied Pecan - a fan favorite. We were told to keep this one around, so it's back again! Salted caramel ice cream with homemade candied pecans mixed in.

🍦Generic Confection #15 - we covered this in another post, but as a reminder, this is an elevated take on a classic gas station drumstick crammed in a cup. French vanilla base with caramel and fudge sauces, chopped peanuts, and chocolate waffle cone pieces. By now you know we made all the mixins from scratch.

☕️🥃NEW! Breakfast of Champions - French vanilla base, maple bourbon caramel swirl, and chocolate covered coffee beans. These beans aren't just any beans though. We sourced locally roasted coffee from S&W Craft Roasting Ltd. These are Colombian grown beans, co-fermented with blueberries that we covered in semi-sweet chocolate. These provide a delightful crunch and a little shot of caffeine.

In addition to these ice cream flavors, we’ll have some waffle bowls, handmade crocheted items from us and our friend, Hot Mess Stitches. There will also be live music, yard games, and a giveaway! You won’t want to miss it!

Can you believe we’ve already made 14 different flavors of ice cream? Boy howdy, how time flies when you’re having fun!

For our 15th, I had a flavor idea and desperately wanted to name it creatively. Since I’m an ice cream maker and not a professional marketer, naming it creatively worked out how you’d expect.

Introducing: Generic Confection #15

Boring name aside, this one has all the flavors of a childhood gas station frozen treat, done our way. It’s got French vanilla ice cream, homemade salted caramel and fudge sauces, chopped peanuts, and scratch made chocolate waffle cone pieces. It’s basically what you’d get if you took the classic Drumstick treat, smashed it, and packed it in a cup. Except ours isn’t produced a million at a time in a factory. In fact, we pack them all by hand.

We’ve got another new one in the works too, but I think it deserves its own announcement post. I promise it won’t be named something stupid like “ #16”.

We’ll have Generic Confection #15 and a few others this weekend at the farmers market so come see us! Don’t forget, we’ll have music, games, and a giveaway!

Tonight’s dinner was comfort food done right.

We took some beautiful ribeyes from Triple J & C Farms, cooked them Sous vide style for 2 hours at 130, then seared them for about 3 minutes per side in a screaming hot cast iron. We topped them with herb butter with garlic, rosemary from our herb garden, and garlic chives from Putnam Micro-Farm & Co. LLC. Along side that, some roasted baby potatoes tossed in that same butter topped with more garlic chives and dill micro greens made the perfect side.

Eating good in the neighborhood!

We’re now sold out for the weekend. Thank you so much for the support. We’re going to get back to work and stock up for next weekend’s market!

Just a reminder, the self service porch is open now until 11pm. We have three flavors of ice cream:

🍌 🥜 Fat Elvis - Banana ice cream with maple caramelized bananas blended in, marshmallow fluff swirl, and peanut butter cookie dough.

🎃 ☕️ Pumpkin Spice Latte - Made with fresh, locally grown squash, brown sugar, espresso, and warm spices.

❌SOLD OUT ❌ 🍨 Candied Pecan - an instant classic - Salted Caramel Ice Cream with pecans candied in brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon.

We also have a few waffle bowls out there right now and will make more if needed. These are fresh baked, made from scratch, and deliciously crunchy.

Hello friends!

As promised, we’ve got a full freezer just in time for the weekend!

We made some fresh marshmallow fluff and a huge batch of peanut butter cookie dough. If you’ve been following along, you know that can only mean one thing…the king of rock ‘n’ roll is back! There’s a fresh batch of Fat Elvis in the freezer right now!

⁉️What’s Fat Elvis? It’s banana flavored ice cream with maple caramelized bananas blended in, a marshmallow fluff swirl, and peanut butter cookie dough bites.

Along with that one, we have a fresh batch of Candied Pecan plus we brought back Pumpkin Spice Latte for this fall festival weekend. We might be adding more over the following days too, so pay attention if these three aren’t what you’re after.

We’ll keep the porch open until 11pm, yes 11pm! this weekend so when the late night snack attack hits, we got you! We even added some string lights to the porch so you can see to shop.

Hello, friends & neighbors!

It's been a little quiet over here this week, but it's all good! We've been busy cranking out ice cream.

We've been asked by a few people if we will be setting up at the Heritage Lake Fall Festival, and unfortunately, the answer is no.

HOWEVER, the porch freezer will be open for business! So as you head out the door to partake in the festivities, feel free to swing by and grab your favorite treat.

We will be offering extended hours this weekend to accommodate Fall Fest. Keep an eye out for available flavors and porch hours.
