ALMOST GONE 🍯🧸⏳✨

We only have 15 honey bears left. Once they’re gone, we’ll be completely sold out until our next harvest in late August / September.

If you’ve been wanting to try our raw, local honey or stock up before it’s gone, now’s the time!

🐝🍯 While at our son’s football practice, we spotted one of nature’s hardest workers along the sidelines. As this honey bee gathered nectar and pollen from the clover blossoms, we were able to capture a few incredible photos!

Fresh, clean water is just as important as quality feed 🌿
We built our own watering system using a 55-gallon drum connected to PVC with poultry watering ni***es. It keeps the water clean, lasts longer, and gives the whole flock fresh water whenever they need it. Simple, reliable, and one less chore to worry about 💧

Did you know queen cells don’t always mean your hive is going to swarm? 🐝👑🍯

This honey super is almost completely capped over! 🍯 Once the bees cap the honey, it means they’ve reduced the moisture content and it’s ready to harvest. Since they’re running out of room, it’s time to add another super so they can keep bringing in that summer nectar. Busy bees make for a sweet harvest! 🐝🌼

FAMILY 🏡

• This right here is what it’s all about! Nothing compares to watching our kids grow up exploring the creek, getting muddy, and making memories on our farm 🦆🌾

That’s what makes all the hard work worth it.

🐝 HONEY 🍯

The white wax covering the cells are called capped honey. This happens when the bees have finished ripening the honey by reducing the moisture content before sealing it with wax. Once it’s capped, it’s the bee’s way of saying it’s in storage. Eventually, the entire frame will be capped and ready for harvest!
