UPDATE: R&B Rhyne has been added to tomorrow’s vendor list.

A recent article in a farming industry publication revealed that farm bankruptcies are on the rise. That's bad news for our food security. Farmers are reportedly moving toward a "direct to consumer" approach to save their farms.

How does this directly impact you? It means farmers markets are growing. The Coats Farmers Market is a great example of how customers can benefit from the farmer's new business model (lower prices and fresher products).

You can support local farms by shopping farmers markets, roadside markets and farm stores.

Moved the cattle to the same field the chickens are on. Both enterprises mow and fertilize this 10 acre field for upcoming summer annual forage. We will be at the State Farmers market tomorrow from 10:30 am until 4 pm.

The hens decided they have had a long enough winter break and are ramping up production. These birds enjoy their pasture rain or shine and are fed locally produced non-GMO feed. Their eggs are some of the finest. Get yours today.
