🐥 The babies are getting BIG! 🥹
We’re officially at the stage where I have to stop and look twice to figure out who Mama is. 😂 They’re growing so fast!
Today was their first day out in the big pen, and they have decided they LOVE it! Lots of exploring, waddling, scratching, investigating absolutely everything… and generally acting like they own the place. 😂
They’ve also discovered their new neighbor...... the pig who lounges on the opposite side of the fence. 🐷 Apparently, this is the best entertainment on the farm because they keep hanging out over there.
Meanwhile, I’m taking advantage of the goose being gone 😢 and getting some serious work done on the pen. The house is getting a new roof and some fresh paint before the rain arrives, and because apparently I didn’t have enough projects already… we’re adding a stock tank swimming pool! 😂💦
I did take before pictures of the house but won't share until it's done with its remodel. It's awful right now 😆
Now I just need to figure out what in the world to do with the ground. It’s currently approximately 87% dirt, 10% rocks and 3% optimism. 🤣
I’d love to get some grass growing, but the ground is HARD. I’m thinking once the winter rains soften it up, I’ll throw down some clover seed and see if Mother Nature feels like cooperating. 🌱
And then there are the drakes. 👀
Every single one of them is lined up outside the fence watching the babies like they’re security guards at a very important event.
“Nothing to see here, boys. Move along.” 😂🦆
Farm life: build a pen, fix a roof, paint a house, dig a pool, grow some grass… and somehow acquire 14 more projects along the way. 🤦♀️😂
And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️🐷🦆🌱
