Flowers and fruit, invitations to mingle, from plant companions to their symbionts and beneficiaries.

For this year’s vintage of Millefleur: Sambucus, we combine elderflower and elderberry, in an act that bridges the seasons and delights in the full offerings of one our most beloved plant allies.

While harvesting elderflower blossoms, we can’t help but press our noses into the soft fluffy umbels. The delicate vanilla and custard like aromas are subtle, requiring close inspection for the full effect.

The berries, which we processed last fall, were spontaneously fermented into a dry and peppery wine reminiscent of Syrah, but with more earthiness. The dense pigmentation of the wine, diluted into the saison, has lent a burgundy hue to the blend.

We eagerly anticipate the final color and flavor of this brew once it’s had time to rest. Saison Millefleur: Sambucus should be available this summer. Stay tuned!

A big thank you to everyone who came out and made our inaugural Happy Hour Beer Garden a huge success! It was an evening of live music, exceptional food by (which sold out!), farmhouse ale & cider (which also kicked!), community and (re)connection. We’re excited to announce a musical performance with Andrew Victor this Sunday, May 3rd at 3:30! He has been a touring/recording artist for over twenty years sharing bills in the U.S. and Europe with Sharon Van Etten, Lael Neale, Damien Jurado, and Marissa Nadler. His forthcoming new album will be on Dead Letter Records. He is currently based in the Finger Lakes, NY.

Some exciting news! Next week we kick off our new Happy Hour Beer Garden series . We have a full line up of events scheduled for the Spring and Fall, with food trucks, live music, and of course, our very own farmhouse ale beer garden! Festivities start next Thursday, May 7th with DelCo Gives Day and the Celebration Happy Hour from 5-8pm. Our dear friends from Wildings Events will be serving up an incredible menu of seasonal and local faire. From the beer garden you can venture out and explore 8 miles of nature trails and historic structures spread throughout Newlin’s 160-acre park. We hope to see you out there!

Happy Hours are rain or shine, every Thursday from 5-8pm in May, June, July and October. Family and pet friendly.

This Sunday we are joined by a very esteemed guest, our dear friend and fellow beverage industry leader, Keyatta Mincey Parker ( ). From 2-5pm Keyatta will be serving two Spring inspired cocktails at A Man Full of Trouble; Field Bloom White featuring dry gin, dry vermouth, and fresh pressed Cayuga white grape juice from our very own vines, and Violet Shandy, with corn whiskey, blueberry syrup and our Lavender Millefleur.

All proceeds from cocktail sales will go to support Keyatta and her incredible non-profit work! On Monday night, join our friends over at for another great event with Keyatta behind the bar.

About our guest: Keyatta Mincey Parker is an award-winning mixologist, curator, and Founder and Executive Director of A Sip of Paradise Garden, a nonprofit supporting hospitality professionals through wellness and sustainability. She is also the Chief Curating Officer of Pictures and Cocktails LLC, a luxury cocktail experience brand.

Named one of the Top 50 Bartenders in the South by Thrillist and Tastemakers, her work has been featured in Forbes, Food & Wine, and Southern Living. In 2026, she was recognized in Atlanta city records as one of the architects of The Atlantan, the official cocktail of 404 Day, solidifying her place in the city’s cultural history.

We’re excited to announce Dillon Scott’s return to the tavern to perform original musical compositions that he’s written on the viola, an instrument that is often described as sounding quite literally like the human voice. This is an invitation to get inside his head through song, poetry, and inquiry, and learn how he experiences sound through anecdotes and discussion. Dillon takes this discipline seriously as countless hours of practice showcases expert technique, and his optimistic spirit shines above all through performance. We recognize this balance and want to share it with the community.

When: April 24th from 6-7pm

This event is free and capped at 25 guests, however you do need you to rsvp using the link in our bio. To support the musician, and to continue to support the venue, we kindly suggest that each person order at list one beverage. NA options are available. Thank you for making all of this possible! Have you tried Drijdraad, our collaboration brew with ? Currently serving on hand pump at the tavern, this cask only variant features house made black lime, organic mission figs, and PA beet molasses.

You can also sample this brew today, alongside some of the greatest cask ale brewers in our region, at the Cask Beer Fest from 12-4pm.
