Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake! Light and creamy with a hint of Chambord liqueur! I think this is my families favorite! My favorite cake to take photos of. I just love the way the natural light bounces off the rich ruby red of the cheesecake!❤️

This was a former professor of mine from Philadelphia College of Art. He taught me drawing. He also taught me how to see. It sounds simple, but it’s really not. He was an amazing man and a wonderful person. So warm and sweet with a funny sense of humor. He died a couple of days ago at the age of 93. I always called him my mentor. Funny thing when my children were young we belonged to a swim club called Beachcomber out near Bluebell in Montgomery County. The background of the swim club itself is very interesting, but maybe for another time. The fact is one day I was walking the horseshoe courts and I saw two men playing horseshoes. And I said to myself wow that looks like Gene Baguskas, my old teacher. It actually was and the other man was another teacher, Boris Pasternak. They were wearing shorts and socks and sandals. And I’m like can’t be. But I went up to him and I said, "I think I know you." And he said he remembered me and from that moment, we became friends. Our families were friends and our kids were friends. We ate dinner at each other‘s houses and had some really nice times. Time passed, they moved to the West Coast, I moved here and we lost touch. But today I am saddened.  my sympathies to his wife, Barbara, and his children. The world has truly lost a great artist and a sweet man.

So, this is my Apple Nova Cheesecake! This was named after my granddaughter Nova. After she was born, I started making this Cheesecake. Today she is graduating from preschool. This is a very big day. Next year kindergarten and she will be six. I am so proud of her. This little person is strong, smart, creative, and so special. I think at 5 1/2 she knows so much it’s amazing. This will be another new beginning and I can’t wait to see photos as unfortunately I cannot be there. And even though I am not there, I can still cry.❤️💐

Hannah loves to go out and just sniff the air! Just a little reminder that I will not be baking this week. Doing a bit of updating on the house, making it hard to work. But, I am so looking forward to it. I will be posting to keep you all updated. I am taking orders though for the following week, and then it’s beach week. All the kids, niece and cousins. I am so excited. ☀️🌊🏖️🐚

Just a bit of decorating. My hands were not so strong yesterday! But you might catch me humming. I love French music especially Charles Aznavour. By the way it’s really hard to decorate with one hand holding a camera and the other a decorating tube! 😍

Well, I must say flower day was a success. We hit three nurseries which was a blast. It was a beautiful day! We hit Meadowview, Maple Shade and Groffs. Lunch at Kreiders and amazing strawberries. I so needed the colors, the fresh air and best of all friendship. Going with a friend and sharing it all is what makes it special for me.  Plus I found most beautiful flower and has an amazing smell. A new favorite let’s hope I can grow it passion flower.❤️💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
