If you’re looking for a kind, safe, been-there-done-that partner with a beautiful way of going on the flat, Monkey might be your guy.

Monkey is a lovely, well-educated gelding who we could really see thriving in a dressage-focused or primarily flatwork home. He is comfortable, straightforward, and enjoyable to ride, with a great brain and the type of temperament that makes him an easy horse to have in the barn. He has a lead change, is responsive without being overly sensitive, and gives his rider a really nice feel.

While Monkey has plenty of experience over fences — including a USEF record through 2’9” in the hunters — we think his next chapter could be especially well suited to someone looking for a quality flat partner. He would be a fun option for an adult amateur wanting to continue developing in dressage, enjoy clinics and lessons, hack out, and have a safe, reliable horse to enjoy every day.

He hacks out, is great off property, and has a sweet, personable disposition on the ground. He’s the kind of horse who appreciates having his person and a consistent program.

Available for your consideration: MBF Longhaul "Ice" 2022 16h Irish Sport Horse Gelding

Ice is only 4, but you genuinely forget it when you’re sitting on him. He has one of the best brains we’ve had on a young horse—brave, sensible, uncomplicated, and just genuinely loves life and having a job. He is incredibly amateur friendly while still having all the talent and scope for someone who wants to keep developing a serious horse.

And for only being 4, he already has some pretty impressive mileage. Since being imported from Ireland, Ice has competed at two Beginner Novice starter trials with clean cross-country rounds, competed clear in a 4-Year-Old YEH, and has been out schooling off property, confidently jumping around .80m courses. He takes new venues and new questions completely in stride—the same horse away from home that he is at home.

Cross country might be his favorite thing in the world. He loves to hack, will happily lead the group, and is the type you could hack out for days. He has been all over Windurra—the track, XC fields, show jumping ring with flags flapping—and very little seems to register as something worth worrying about. He is naturally brave without being strong or silly.

On the flat, Ice is a super cute mover with an easy, attractive way of going. Over fences, he has plenty of scope to continue moving up as an eventer or jumper, while also having that cute hunter style that could take him in that direction. He is truly an all-around prospect with a fresh slate to finish however you want.

Ice is barefoot, an easy keeper, and currently requires no maintenance. He is just as happy living out 24/7 as he is coming into a stall. He currently turns out with another gelding and has also lived in a herd and turned out solo.

This is the kind of young horse that is hard to find—the brain for an amateur, proven mileage beyond what you’d expect from a 4-year-old, the bravery you want in a sport horse, and enough talent that you aren’t going to outgrow him as your goals develop.

Available for your consideration: London is a 16h, 2012 Thoroughbred gelding who has spent the past three years being loved and ridden by a junior. He is super amateur safe and friendly, with a great brain, lovely movement on the flat, and plenty of real-world experience both at home and away. He is the type that gives his rider confidence and makes riding enjoyable.

London hacks out happily alone or with a buddy and has been all over, making him a great option for someone who wants a horse they can enjoy outside of the ring just as much as in it. He has also been to plenty of off-property shows and handles traveling and new environments well.

Due to an old injury, London is best suited for a home looking to focus primarily on flatwork, hacking, and some light jumping rather than a competitive jumping career. His injury has been diligently rehabbed, and he was recently re-evaluated by the vet with updated imaging available for serious buyers. He does require some light maintenance.

In the barn, London has good manners and is an easy horse to have around. He appreciates thoughtful handling and the occasional gentle reminder of his ground manners. He can be turned out solo or with a group of geldings and is very much the low man on the totem pole. He currently wears four shoes.

London would be a wonderful partner for a junior or amateur who wants a safe, friendly, confidence-building horse to continue developing their flatwork, enjoy long hacks, dabble in some light jumping, and simply have fun with. He has the brain and mileage to be an especially nice match for an amateur-focused home.

His limitations are reflected in his price, making him a steal for someone whose goals match what he has to offer. A really lovely horse looking for the right next chapter.

If you’re looking for that safe, comfortable, amateur-friendly type who also has plenty of talent to keep developing, Johnny checks a lot of boxes.

Johnny has been owned and ridden by an older adult amateur and is incredibly comfortable and uncomplicated on the flat. He has super smooth gaits, an easy feel, and is the kind of horse you can genuinely enjoy riding every day.

Johnny loves to jump. He has been out to schooling shows at Devon with a junior rider, has gone cross-country schooling, and continues to show that he is game for just about anything you point him toward. He is brave, willing, and athletic, with no limitations on scope or height for someone who wants to continue developing him up the levels.

He also hacks out alone or in company, making him just as enjoyable outside of the ring as he is in it.

On the ground, Johnny is very safe and kind, but he can occasionally be a little young and pushy with his manners. He does best with thoughtful, consistent handling and the occasional gentle reminder of his personal space. He responds very well to those reminders and is the type who simply benefits from someone continuing to reinforce good ground manners rather than needing any sort of forceful handling and very respectful to a rope halter.

While he has plenty of ability, he doesn’t need a professional ride to enjoy the job. Johnny is amateur safe and absolutely thrives in a program, where consistent riding and thoughtful handling allow him to be his very best. Johnny could be a really fun horse for someone wanting to event, jump, hunt, do the hunters, or simply have a quality all-around horse.

He also has great feet and is currently turned out solo.

Johnny is one of those versatile horses where we could genuinely see him excelling in a number of directions. Safe and smooth enough for the amateur, with the athleticism, scope, and love of jumping to make him an exciting horse for someone with bigger goals.

SOLD: MacGyver WF “Gus”
2021 KDR Palomino Gelding | 16.1+h

Gus is an absolutely stunning Premium KDR Westphalian palomino gelding with the temperament, movement, and athleticism to match his looks.

Exceptionally kind, sweet, and friendly, Gus is the type you genuinely enjoy having in the barn. He has a wonderful amateur-friendly brain and an incredibly willing attitude toward everything asked of him.

Gus has only recently started jumping since coming to me, and to say he loves it might be an understatement. He has taken to it naturally and confidently — so much so that one of my nervous amateurs was happily jumping him around with a huge smile on her face. For a young, green horse, that says a lot about the brain he has.

On the flat, he has beautiful, elastic movement with plenty of power and presence. He is still green and has all the potential in the world to develop in whichever direction his next person chooses. Hunters, jumpers, dressage, eventing, or simply an exceptional all-around partner — I can see Gus excelling in just about any ring.

This is a young horse with quality, kindness, talent, and an amateur-friendly temperament all wrapped up in one very golden package.

I certainly won’t mind having this one in my barn a little longer, but if you’re looking for an exceptional young prospect to develop into your dream horse, Gus is one worth coming to meet.

SOLD: Spurrin Ranchin Rockin “Amigo” is a 2018 registered American Quarter Horse gelding standing 15h, and this handsome buckskin has quickly become a barn favorite.

Amigo came to us with a fantastic foundation and a whole lot of life experience. He has been hauled around the country, ridden extensively on the trails, exposed to farm equipment, traffic, cattle, wildlife, gunfire and all the things you want a horse to have seen. Since arriving with us, he has hacked up at the Windurra track, trail ridden all over, and started learning a completely new job in the ring. And he is taking to it like a champ.

Amigo is still a little green when it comes to English ring work, but he has happily started popping over little crossrails and seems to genuinely enjoy jumping. He is brave, willing and tries hard to figure out what you are asking. I could absolutely see him developing into the cutest little hony hunter, all-arounder, Pony Club horse, or just an incredibly fun horse for someone who wants to do a little bit of everything.

Before coming to us, Amigo was ridden by both adults and kids. He has a smooth walk, trot and lope, neck reins one-handed, moves off your leg, side passes, leg yields and has all those wonderful buttons from his Western education. He can ride with some class when you ask for it, but is just as happy to be a point-and-go kind of guy.

Out of the ring is really where this horse shines. He is careful with his feet, sensible on the trails and has already proven to be the type you can take out and enjoy. Hack around the farm, hit the trails, go explore somewhere new, pop over some jumps or keep developing him in the ring — Amigo is game.

And then there is his personality. This guy is SWEET. In-your-pocket, loves attention, happy to stand around and be loved on, and the kind of horse you actually want to spend time with even when you aren't riding.

He lives happily with other horses, stands quietly for the farrier, ground ties and has no known vices. He is currently barefoot but will be getting front shoes as his workload has increased. At 15h, he is also that perfect not-too-big, not-too-small size that is incredibly hard to find.

Amigo is not being marketed as a finished hunter tomorrow — but he has the brain, foundation, personality and willingness to become a seriously cool little horse. If you want something flashy, broke, versatile, sweet and FUN with a whole lot of potential, come meet this guy.
