🚨 Moms Update ❤️
We wanted to share a little update because, honestly, it’s been a really difficult few days for both of our families.
❤️ Ben’s mom is back in the hospital after going to the ER yesterday morning because she wasn’t feeling well. She was admitted later in the day and is now receiving a continuous IV of Heparin for another blockage around her knee. The doctors were able to clear the clots in her lungs with a procedure, but they’re still trying to determine exactly what they’re dealing with around her knee. There’s a possibility that the blockage could be larger than before, which isn’t what anyone wanted to hear. Right now, it’s a lot of waiting and hoping that the medication does what it needs to do.
❤️ Brandi’s mom was also admitted back into the hospital a few days ago after only a short time at her rehab facility. Unfortunately, she developed pneumonia again, something she battled last year as well. After her surgery, she hasn’t been able to get up and move around much, which has made things even more difficult, especially considering her history with lung cancer about 10 years ago. Thankfully, she’s being released back to the rehab facility today, and we’re really hoping this gives her the opportunity to get back on track with her recovery and begin making some progress again.
🙏 We know everyone has their own battles going on, but if you could take a moment to keep both of our moms in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean more to us than we can put into words.
It’s definitely been a heavy and emotional time for all of us. We’re doing our best to take things one day, one moment, and sometimes one breath at a time.
