📍 THIS WEEK’S MARKET VENDOR GUIDE IS HERE! 🛍️

We know it might look like we’re taking the easy way out by giving you a link instead of typing out a giant vendor list every week… but there’s actually a reason! 😎

Our weekly vendor guide is interactive! 👇

You can see the actual market layout, find exactly where your favorite vendors will be located, and click on individual vendors to visit their own landing pages. Many of them have added photos, menus, products, social media, and a little more about what they do!

So instead of a giant wall of names that you’ll probably scroll past anyway… you get a clickable map + vendor directory all in one place. 😉

Take a look, make your game plan, and come hungry! 🛍️🍴☕️

We’ll see you at the market! ❤️

Talk About It Tuesday ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Round 5!

This week’s review is from R. Anderson, and we love this one because it’s simple and says exactly what so many of our customers tell us: good meat, good service, and knowing your money is staying with a local business instead of going to a big grocery chain.

Also, keeping a few pounds of ground beef in the freezer at all times? We fully support that decision 🤠👍

Thank you, R. Anderson, for the kind words, the honest review, and the 10/10. We appreciate you!

Nearly 30,000 pounds of imported beef were just recalled after skipping a required U.S. inspection step. And some of it was headed right here to Florida.

Big beef moves massive amounts of meat through a global supply chain, working to get product onto shelves at prices small local farms are expected to compete with. Then we hear that almost 30,000 pounds of imported beef made it into the country without completing a required reinspection step.

To be clear, this does NOT mean the beef was contaminated or tainted. No illnesses had been reported when the recall was announced.

But that is not really the point. The point is that this is another example of how little control you have over the story behind grocery-store meat.

Where was the animal raised? Who handled it? How far did it travel? Which companies did it pass through? Were all the required steps completed before it reached the shelf?

Most of the time, you simply have to trust that a very long chain of people and companies did everything correctly.

And apparently, sometimes they don’t.

Meanwhile, local farmers are doing the work right here at home. We are raising the animals, paying local processing costs, dealing with rising land and operating expenses, and following the rules every step of the way. Then our beef gets compared to grocery-store meat (moving through a massive global supply chain) on price alone.

We are not trying to be the cheapest beef on the market. We are trying to give you something the cheapest beef often cannot: a direct connection to the people responsible for your food.

This recall does not prove imported beef is bad. It is simply another reminder that when you buy from a grocery store, there can be a whole lot happening behind that package that you will never see.

When you buy from Our Ancestors’ Foods, you know where your beef came from. You know the farm. You know the family. And if you have a question, you know exactly who to ask.

Happy hump day 😂 This week is flying by so fast that we somehow missed another Talk About It Tuesday. So here it is, just one day late.

This week’s review is from M. Robertson, and it’s a good one. They talked about Leo being a wealth of information, the way the animals are raised, and how much they loved the pork. “This is the way pork should taste!!” is probably our favorite part.

We also love that they mentioned supporting a local farm and knowing where their family’s food is coming from. That’s really what it’s all about.

Thank you, M. Robertson, for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review and for supporting our farm. We appreciate you more than you know.

Talk About It Tuesday ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This week’s review is from D. Gable, who came out to the farm, asked Leo a ton of questions, took a tour, and then tried the ribeyes, T-bones, and ground beef. We love hearing that the whole experience was a good one, not just the meat. Thanks, D. Gable, for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We’re really glad you found us.

Leo genuinely loves talking with customers, so if you ever have questions about the farm, the animals, the meat, or what to order, give him a call or send us an email.

We have just two pasture-raised lamb bundles left from our current harvest, with another harvest coming soon.

Our lamb is raised outdoors on open pasture, where it can move freely and eat a natural diet. This slower, low-stress way of raising lamb produces tender meat with a clean, mild flavor.

Each 10-pound bundle may include chops, ground lamb, shoulder roast, shanks, and stew meat, giving you plenty of options for grilling, burgers, meatballs, stews, and slow-cooked meals.

Even people who have not enjoyed lamb in the past are often surprised by how mild and tender properly raised lamb can be.

Only two bundles are available right now. Reserve yours at OurAncestorsFoods.com.

Honorary Talk About It Tuesday... on a Thursday 😂 I missed it. I’m human, not AI, and since this is still a new thing, apparently I need a better reminder on my calendar. Better late than never though, so here’s this week’s review from R. Ghent.

They talked about seeing the animals for themselves, becoming a believer after the very first bite, and feeling lucky to live close enough to feed their family with food from our farm. That is a pretty special review to receive.

We’re so grateful for everyone who takes the time to leave kind words and honest opinions about our farm. You guys are the best, and your reviews help more people feel comfortable ordering from us.
