I saw this on a coffee shop page in SD and I thought this was a wonderful share…. On the left is coffee. It was once beans that were coarsely run through a grinder. Hot water will run loosely over it and brew 10 cups of coffee.
On the right is espresso. It was once beans finely run through a grinder. Just a portion of this will be packed with 30lbs of pressure into a puck at which point the machine will force pressurized hot water through it to make a tiny concentrated shot of espresso. It takes longer to grind. It endures more pressure and heat than the coffee. It makes a lesser amount of end product and yet tastes stronger in its’ 1oz than the entire pot of coffee.
If you’re feeling like trials are taking too long...like life is giving you more pressure than the rest...if you can barely stand the heat.. maybe you’re just espresso. Maybe 1oz of you is stronger than a whole pot of the rest of us.
