We’ve been posting a lot lately about the bulls, so we thought we’d share a post about the cows behind the sale bulls! This specific group of cows wintered last winter on just 6 bales of hay and stockpiled forage, they have summered on the high desert in a severe drought year and continue to do their job. It’s important to me to make sure that our seedstock cows are expected to work in the same environmental challenges that our commercial customers cows do!

We received this text this morning from a customer in Northern Montana, they bought two yearling bulls in our April bull sale.

“We just pregged our cows that where with those 2 bulls I bought from you, went 40/40 on those cows within a 60 day period, we don’t age at preg but I am sure they where mostly within 40 days, happy with how they held up haven’t had any issues and look great, thanks!!”

And here’s another sneak peek of the 18 month old bulls selling December 12th!

It’s been a busy few weeks around here with PAP testing bulls, freeze branding & picturing!

We are very excited about this set of bulls and look forward to seeing everyone that can make our bull sale preview event this Thursday October 1st. Steve Campbell will be individually sorting and scoring every bull in the sale. So if you are interested in getting an early look at the cattle or simply want to learn from Steve please stop by! We will begin appraising bull at 8 o’clock that morning and go through the majority of the day so feel free to stop by anytime!

P.S. here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect to see!
