Lambing season is so sweet.
We were blessed to see our Bonnie have her very first baby today!
She did so good. She was a natural! Baby and momma are both well and thriving.
The goodness of God was so evident today and seeing the miracle of life never gets old!

Also, nothing is wrong with Bonnie. Our sheep are Katahdin and they are hair sheep, meaning we don’t have to shear our sheep- their hair falls off when the weather gets warmer. She just happens to be in the middle of that process right now. 🐑

We had a batch of chicks hatch on Easter.
This loud little critter was a late one and she became shrink wrapped in her egg last night.
She had pipped a few hours before we went to bed last night and this morning zero progress had been made.

I could tell the membrane of the shell was dried out, her voice was very weak, and she wasn’t moving a lot so I made the decision to help her out.

(We normally don’t recommend helping a chick out but this time we felt like we needed to intervene)

She was very sluggish and I wasn’t sure she would be alive when I got home from work this evening.

But here she is- alive and thriving! 🐣
