Such an unusual tomato year because of the greenhouse. The weather is about to get significantly cooler (yay!) and I have all stages of tomatoes- seeds sprouting, flowers, green fruit, ripe fruit. Iā€™m just going to let them keep growing and see what happens.

The sweet potatoes are cured (the warm, humid greenhouse was perfect for this) cleaned, sorted, and weighed. 34 lbs this year! Weā€™ve already eaten a couple odd looking ones and they were tasty.

I pulled the fermented pickles out of the crock to store in the refrigerator. Wow they are tasty! Iā€™ve been keeping lots of notes so I can recreate or change the recipe next time. It was a pretty fun and easy process. We couldnā€™t help giggling when the pickles would burp during our family movie nights. We are easily entertained.

Thanks to The Seasonal Homestead for the kick in the pants I needed to just give it a try.

Last batch of canned peaches done for the year. Not sure we have enough peaches left for any jam, but we will definitely be freeze drying some slices sprinkled with Ceylon cinnamon. šŸ˜‹
