Join us at our farm from August 24th–29th for a six-day, hands-on Timber Framing Course led by instructor Skip Dewhirst.

You’ll spend the week learning about mortise and tenon joinery—a craft with over a thousand years of history.

By the end of the week, the group will collaborate on a small timber frame structure, culminating in a traditional frame raising on the final day.

Dates: Monday, August 24th – Saturday, August 29th
Class Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily

I happy to announce the 2026 maple sap season has come to an end here on the farm. The sticky business is over for this year, and we are ready to sell syrup!

Just got a new gaggle of geese to befriend Lucky duck and team up against the mean Canadian geese who keep attacking Lucky (btw- we recently found out that Canadians call 'Canadian' geese 'American' Geese). So the bird battle is on!

The 'sap tsunami' has arrived! And brought a boat load of rain with it! Another wet day at the sugar shack boiling down maple sap... it truly has been an epic sap flow this year! Can barely keep up and am out of dry firewood... the final stretch here... trees are starting to bud out and not many freezing temps anymore, but the 'sugar moon' is tomorrow and that usually makes a lot of sap flow! The trees must have loved that frigid cold winter because there is so much sap this year... today even my dog has abandoned me for a dry bed! Going to be a long day of boiling... just got the fire raging about an hour ago...
