Same ranch. Same year. Same goals.
But it’s always fascinating to see how different crosses stamp their foals.
These two fillies were raised in the same program, handled the same way, and both come from mares we’re proud to own.
Yet they’re completely different kinds of horses.
💛 Vegas — all the chrome, all the presence, and the kind of filly that seems to know people are watching.
🤎 The Buckskin Filly — a little more understated, but balanced, athletic, and built with a job in mind.
One of the things we love about breeding horses is that there isn’t just one right answer. Sometimes the horse that catches your eye across the pasture is exactly the one you want. Other times it’s the quiet one that keeps getting better every time you look at her.
So we’ll ask a different question this time:
Which filly do you think will change the most between now and her 3-year-old year?
Drop a 💛 for Vegas or a 🤎 for the Buckskin Filly.
And if you’re new here, tell us what you look for first in a young prospect—color, pedigree, conformation, attitude, or something else entirely?
