Cokato Food Shelf The Cokato Food Shelf is striving to make Cokato hunger free. We are supported by donations from loc We are not government funded.

The Cokato Food Shelf is available to help support families in need in Cokato, MN by providing supplemental groceries. Families may call the number Wednesday or Thursday between the hours of 9:00am and noon to sign up for food distribution on Friday. The deadline to call for the current week's pick up is Thursday at noon. Distribution is on Friday morning between 9:00 am and 10:00 am by appointmen

t. If ALL adults in the household are working during all of the call hours and are not permitted to make calls during work. they may leave a message with a good time specified to be called back prior to Thursday noon to set up an appointment time. Pre-boxed shelf stable groceries and a voucher for meat, milk, bread and fresh produce are included in the supplement. Often additional donations of bread, eggs and baked goods are also available. Families may sign up once per month for 6 months (every 4 weeks). If more assistance is needed, we ask that they meet with a local pastor to discuss their situation. All the food distributed and the money for vouchers is provided by donations from local churches, community members and local organizations. The food and toiletries given to those in need are based on the donations that are given to the food shelf. If you have donations you would like to drop off, please contact us at 320-333-7877 to set up a time to have someone meet you at the food shelf OR drop off items on Thursdays between 1:00 and 2:00 when volunteers are there packing for the next day or Friday morning between 8:15 and 9:00 am. We are located on Broadway between First National Bank and the former Elim Mission Church building. Monetary donations may be mailed to Cokato Food Shelf, PO Box 1034, Cokato MN 55321.

A HUGE Thank You to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato for this donation that needed 3 vehicles to get it here! They weighed it before delivery...1,022 pounds!! These items were donated as part of "Da Great Lutheran Food Fight" where they challenged six other neighboring Lutheran churches to collect food for their respective community food shelves during the month of March. What a blessing! THANK YOU, ELC!!
