We got a little snow and rain today. The moisture is much needed across the west. But I must say, it's been the most enjoyable winter ever.

Had to work on a few pictures this afternoon, and forgot these were on my camera. Kayson, Molly, and Rylee doing a little sorting from last fall. I added a little grainy vibe to the photos in processing. Let me know what you think?

"Spring Cabin"

We refer to this cabin as Spring Cabin for obvious reasons. There is a natural spring that is fenced above the cabin. I did not get a photo of the lower cabin, where Lucien would have lived, as it has all but fallen down.

"West Fork Cabin"

Up next on our historic cycle of the ranch is the cabin of John Clark. We refer to this cabin as the "West Fork Cabin" or the "Trapper Cabin". There is no recorded photo, but the current photo provided is one I took yesterday as we gathered cattle in the West Fork canyon. The Ball family has refurbished this place, and has made it into a hunting cabin in the fall in which they stay. The porch has been repaired, the logs re-chinked and an outhouse added out back.

"Case Place"

It's been such a busy fall, I haven't had time to highlight all of the cabins as hoped. But we've been gathering yearlings and putting them at the Case Place, so it was perfect timing to highlight this neat spot. The cabin is a current photo taken, and looks identical to the book, including the old sleigh.

It is owned by Inger Lundershausen and leased by Circle B.
