Brides, events, groups of 6+ or photo shoot, must call ahead! All "regular" guests NO appt. We are here to help you create stunning floral arrangements for any event; from a simple BBQ to the Big Day! We are located amidst the wheat fields and sunflowers on Half Moon Prairie. Our flower farm will amaze with the blooms packed into a small space. Throughout the summer you will be able to join us in picking a variety of flowers including daisies, lupines, zinnias, cosmos, asters, bachelor’s buttons, snap dragons, and sunflowers, just to name a few. No time to pick? Ask us about pre-made bouquets or event flowers!

A moment of vulnerability. I like to keep our posts positive; but I also want to be transparent as a business owner. If I’m honest, August was a rough month for us. With the fires causing stress all around, many families displaced, then bad air quality for weeks, we saw a significant and unexpected decline in our visitors. This was a stark contrast to a time that is historically our busiest weeks of the summer. In addition to canceled photo sessions, and skipped wedding pickings, it just didn’t feel like the right time to offer or host events. Some the lack of events was also due to making sure we weren’t overextending ourselves in the wake of Dusty’s stroke in March.

Nonetheless, all of that continued to leave a mark on our ability to share our garden with our community. While this pales in comparison to some that lost everything in the fires, it still makes for a big dent to our season financially. We certainly don’t rate our seasons’ success based only on the money and our bigger goal is always to provide an amazing location for your adventures and connection with others while you pick locally grown blooms. But at the end of the day, everyone can relate to the fact we have bills to pay and workers’ wages to think about. So, without any more moping, we invite you to visit the farm before our season is over. We would truly love to have you enjoy what we have grown!
To celebrate the end of another hard-earned season and the impending frost, each u-pick bucket of other lovely mixed flowers will come with a treat of six dahlia blooms, at no additional cost! And you get to cut them yourself. (Normally, we just have them pre-picked for you and at an extra cost.) You can also just pick dahlias, and we tally up your total cost based on stems, at $2 each. A great value for these gorgeous blooms!

Stop by this weekend; we are open until dusk each day through Monday 10/5. Remember, if we will get to be open the following weekend is a mystery. We hope the temps will stay warm, but the forecast can change at a moment’s notice. Don’t delay stopping by to get you gorgeous buckets and bonus dahlias! We so appreciate your support of our farm. 💕

We provide everything you need for a magical visit to our flower farm. Tell a friend and join us ASAP before the full killing frost beat you here! The days are numbered!

October and the blooms are hanging on! We lost a few to the frost but MOST of the garden is still looking gorgeous AND because we know the end is near, you get to cut your own dahlias! Yes the dahlias!
Usually we precut them for you, to make sure they are cut properly for additional growth and blooms, but now you enjoy wandering them and picking your favorites all on your own!
This weekend, (starting today and also through Monday) SIX dahlias are included at no extra cost, with your $25 U-pick bucket of other mixed flowers. And if you want more than six that’s absolutely fine. Extras are just $2 per stem.
Make sure to share this good news with a friend or five and visit this weekend. The weather is going to be perfect for picking!

Well friends, we are not dead yet! But there are a few things we likely lost due to the cold temps of the last two nights, despite our best efforts to protect them. Basil, it was nice knowing ya!
If you are planning to visit today, you may want to delay till afternoon so you can see more easily what plants still look healthy and not showing frost’s effects. But as you can see by the bucket pictured here, there are still some good things to pick, plus many other varieties like sunflowers and snapdragons that are more cold tolerant.
We hope that our frost protection measures will mean the plants can rebound with the warm weather coming again this week and that we will get to be open for one more weekend. But only time will tell! Last night the forecast was only 35 to 37 (depending on which app you looked at) …but we actually got down to more like 27 degrees! So it is really a wait and see situation.

Tomorrow afternoon we are back in action! This is your sign to invite a friend and visit us this weekend.
We are holding in our current beautiful fall weather with no frost on the forecast but there are some nights getting closer to those too chilly temps, so we know this gorgeous view won’t last much more.
But the flower season always goes out with a bang and gives us so much good stuff right to the end. Thankfully the end isn’t here yet!

Don’t forget we are open Mondays too! We have some great special happening right now. My girl math says you’re basically saving money by swinging by to pick your favorite blooms or snagging a bunch out of the flower cooler!
Remember, we are closed Tues-Thursdays. If you miss us this weekend we will be open again next Friday after 10:30am. The weekends we will have a garden full of flowers are dwindling fast! It’s hard to believe with days as nice as today, but the cold nighttime temps and frost are not far off!
