It was a cold one yesterday! We had graupel covering our baby radishes in the afternoon, and we hit a low of 25 around 5:00am this morning. So far it looks like the seedlings survived! We're really looking forward to having our greenhouse up soon.

Hellooooo! It's been a minute since we've posted as we've been hibernating all winter long 😴 (we wish, infants don't let you do that) but it's about time that we wake up for spring.

Starts are growing quickly, garlic is coming up, greens are in the ground and covered, and today we start inoculating over 100 mushroom logs!

Things are looking pretty beautiful on the farm right now. Changing seasons means we're pretty busy as we put many of our garden beds to sleep. Large tarps have helped prep beds for next year by keeping them free of w**ds. We still have a few beans, beet greens, potatoes, tomatoes and carrots growing under frost cover though!

The first posts for our new 72 foot greenhouse have gone in the ground and we're hoping to get the rest in before the ground freezes.

So much produce is going to North Country Marketplace today! With the temperatures dropping below 50 at night, this is one of our last bountiful shiitake harvests of the season. 16 bags are up for grabs this week so head in and grab them before they're gone for the season. And for the parents of young ones, these mushrooms are Chase approved 😉.

We also have many bags of carrots, mardi gras beans, potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and some herbs!

Got Kale? Lots of red and white kale and French breakfast radishes heading to North Country Marketplace today! More mesclun mix, baby kale and shiitake mushrooms coming later this week.

This tender kale is delicious in salads like caesar and strawberry and feta with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Hint, strawberries and herbed-feta are available at North Country Marketplace too. Happy eating!

We love watching things change over here. Shiitake mushrooms are starting (we couldn't be more excited about these tasty little gems) and our little garden is FULL of radishes, spinach, kale, lettuce, kohlrabi, and cabbage.
