Here’s what I’ve learned as Bear Grove Beef approaches nearly a decade in the wild world of Miniature Herefords …

The purity of joy felt when people succeed with cattle produced ”under the influence” of BGB and FADE genetics is far greater than that from us succeeding with us on the halter of our cattle in the show ring, ourselves. It took some tragedy in our lives to force a reprioritization of what truly matters to get to this point. But, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Congratulations to all who found their way to the backdrop with critters bearing BGB or FADE in their pedigrees. Thank you for trusting in our stock, raising great ones, and presenting them to shine when the lights are brightest. Well done.

When Stelzer texted the other day to ask for our address, so he could send a "present," I figured it was something between a collections notice (for something I didn't remember buying) and the black mamba scene from Kill Bill Volume 2. So, imagine my surprise to open a box with these two testaments to good people putting faith in our program and putting in the time and effort to put the shine on BGB genetics. We are grateful, beyond words, to you all.

3 champions crowned in the junior show at Cattlemen's Congress yesterday. 3 different sires from the BGB family (BGB Ben Dover, Summertime Mick, and BGB EE (Elastration Emancipation). Congratulations to the Weldons and Darbonnes for their wins. Huge props to Caity Ramsey for raising the champion prospect steer out of EE.
