What a week for us! 🤍

This week we baked and sold over 100 loaves between preorders and the farmers market, plus all of the pastries, baked goods, and fresh juices that went out the door. It was one of our biggest weeks yet with preorders, market inventory, and bulk orders all happening at once!

We’re incredibly grateful for every order, every market visit, every share, and every person who chooses to support our little business. Seeing your names pop up on preorder lists and getting to hand over your favorite sourdough never gets old.

I still remember when I first started as Small House Breads and wondered if anyone would place an order. Now, we have more than 200 people signed up for our preorder text alerts.🥹

Two years in business 🥳

What started in 2022 as a simple love for baking bread— as a way to provide wholesome carbs for our first child quickly grew into something much more. When I couldn’t get my starter going, my best friend gifted me some of hers, and that small act of kindness changed everything.

In 2023, we began sharing our bread with others, and by 2024 we took the leap into making it a small business of our own. We’ll never forget our very first farmers market the first weekend of June— and we haven’t stopped baking since.

From our oven to your table has always been our promise, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. 🤍

Another bake day at Small House Sourdough 🤍

Today we’re baking for Saturday preorder pickup and the farmers market, and we’re beyond grateful we get to serve you for another week. Every loaf that leaves our kitchen is made with so much love, and your support means more to us than we can say.

This week has been a heavy one for us as we learned we lost a dear friend— someone beautiful inside and out, with one of the biggest hearts we’ve ever known. We’ve spent time reflecting on the impact she made on so many people, even from afar, and reminding ourselves to live more like her: with kindness, generosity, love, and grace.

So today’s bake feels extra meaningful. A reminder that food brings people together, that small acts of care matter, and that love can be shared in something as simple as a warm loaf of bread.

Thank you for being here with us, for supporting our little bakery, and for allowing us to keep doing what we love each week. We can’t wait to see you Saturday 🫶🏼
