Big shout out to Tammie and Ken at Tiawah Hills Berry Farm in Claremore for the beautiful elderberries!
Story time…
Years ago, as I was driving to school, I heard a commercial on the radio about elderberry syrup. Any other time, I would have changed the channel, but my favorite farmhand had really been struggling with his allergies for a long time. He was taking four prescription allergy medications, as well as antibiotics and steroids (multiple rounds of each), all to no avail.
So, I decided to buy some OTC elderberry syrup. I figured we had nothing to lose. That night, we both took a dose. We knew immediately that we could make better. So we found a farm that grows elderberries, did lots of research, and developed our own recipe for elderberry syrup.
We started taking it daily, and over the next few months, my favorite farmhand was able to stop talking ALL of his prescription allergy medications, one by one. He hasn’t had any trouble with allergies or illnesses since! Not only that, but I teach second grade, and I no longer catch every little virus that comes through my classroom! It’s definitely a win-win situation!
We love being less dependent on big pharma. We also love knowing exactly what we’re putting into our bodies, and by making our own elderberry syrup with farm-fresh elderberries, we’re able to do just that!
You can find our elderberry syrup at the following locations:
