Help finding a home! This little guy wandered onto the farm on Monday. Super emaciated and beat up. Took him to the vet and we’re pretty sure he was a “bait” dog for a fighting ring 🤬 We gave him the first round of flea and tick meds, an antibiotic for his wounds, and a dewormer. The vet wants to follow up in four weeks to have him neutered and start heartworm treatment. He didn’t want to overload him all at once. Thinks he’s between 2 to 4 years old, hard to tell since his teeth have been ground down. He’s doing much better already!
We’ve been calling him Tchoup (short for Tchoupotoulas) but he doesn’t seem to care what you call him as long as you’re paying attention to him. He hasn’t been inside the house yet so I can’t speak to how he would do inside, though he keeps trying to sneak in. Gets along great with our dogs. He’s extremely sweet, affectionate, attentive…really just wants nothing but love. And food! He’s super hungry and a scavenger - he’s gotten into the outside trashcan twice. I think he would be easily trainable since he is so food motivated.
