This is the time of year where we begin shifting seasons on the farm. We are still very much into flowers but we start getting ourselves ready for a glorious October filled with pumpkins!

This means that we need to make room in our farm store for a Fall refresh and so we have a dedicated sale section with 25% off Labor Day weekend. One more reason to visit the farm on Saturday September 5 from 8-noon.

And if you didn’t already see, we are doing half price admission ($5) and unlimited stems in your cup ($25) for that one day only!!

We found ourselves in a conversation about what the farm was like the day we took on the lease at Venetucci Farm six years ago. The farm was in desperate need of a glow up, to say the least! The weeds had taken over every inch and there was debris to clean up. But the owners of the farm, Pikes Peak Real Estate Foundation believed in our vision and in us.

We took a picture in this exact spot just to remind ourselves of what some sweat and hard work can do. It still amazes us ❤️

📣Big announcement! After making the decision to postpone Dahlia Days until September 12 due to a late bloom, we are offering something super fun and spontaneous instead!

On September 5, we are doing half price admission, so $5, PLUS fill your cup with as many flowers as you want for $25 (we typically limit it to 20 stems per cup)!!!

We will be clearing our zinnias and sunflowers soon to make way for a cover crop so we thought what better way than to include you all in a big old harvest celebration.

There will be Good Gracious Mobile Coffee 4th Avenue Crepes and some incredible artisan vendors as well!

📚Blind Date with a Book! How cute are these? Are you a big reader like us? We collected a bunch of books and then wrapped them up in tissue paper so it would be a surprise inside. We filled the pockets with stickers, wildflower seeds, and of course dried flowers from the farm. Snag one for yourself or better yet, stock up early on Christmas gifts! It’s never too early🎄

‼️Dahlia Update. Please read!

The heat and drought from earlier in the summer has delayed our dahlias. Typically by late August our field is bursting with blooms but this week we still only have a couple blooms to show for.

Planning all of our events months in advance and doing everything we can to time the bloom period right gives us a lot of anxiety! For the most part, we hit everything pretty spot on but the one thing we can’t control is the weather.

The recent rain is helping but we will need to postpone the start of Dahlia Days. We will not start on September 5 as planned but we will continue with the September 12 and 19 dates.

If you already purchased tickets to Sept 5 Dahlia Days, look for an email from us with your options.

On September 5 we are doing something really fun instead!! We are hosting a Labor Day Clear the Field Sale where you help us cut all the zinnias and sunflowers to make way for a cover crop. Look for details soon!

We spent an evening this week together with our families!

Every two years, we gather our farm crew and their families for a potluck and photos with our very favorite photographer, Colorado Springs Brand Photographer .

It’s a chance to capture the farm as it grows and changes, update our team photos, and—one of our favorite parts—give each member of our crew a mini photo session with their family to keep for themselves.

We hear so much about each other’s families throughout the season, but we don’t often get the chance to all be together. Sharing a meal, meeting everyone in person, and spending time together outside of the usual farm hustle made this evening extra special.

We’re incredibly grateful for the people who help make Gather Mountain Blooms what it is—and for the families who support them along the way.

We can’t wait to share more photos with you soon!

There is something about sunflowers that truly does make you feel cheerful. And they are the perfect flower in this in between time of summer but knowing fall is on the horizon. Sunflower Days is always one of the most popular days on the farm, even above the dahlias if you can believe it 🌻
