Had a cold front for a couple days but the temperature is warming back up for the weekend! Tomorrow is our trading card show from 2-6pm so don’t miss out! Sunday is mug club dinner from 5-7pm and can’t wait to see you all back out. Have a great day!

Tonight! Come and get your game on

Join us every Thursday night from 6-9pm as the Balanced Rook Chess Club ♖ transforms Wackadoo Brewing into Colorado Springs' social chess brewery. 🍻🍔

It’s for all ages, it's free, and chess sets are provided.

Stop in anytime between 6-9pm to meet new friends and play one game or several.

Do you play chess but you "aren't very good"?
We have members at your skill level that you can play against, and players with more experience who would be happy to give you pointers while you play or after your game (openings, end game, tactics, strategy, etc.).

Are you a chess tournament player?
This is your chance to have a fun over-the-board game without the ratings pressure. You can share your thoughts and analyze your game in real-time as there is no shushing at the chess club.
Plus you can grab a burger and a b**r while you play.

In addition to our free social games, we will also have a USCF rated Blitz tournament for those that are interested. Cost is $5, it starts at 7:00pm, and you must be a USCF member to play in the tournament. Chess sets provided, bring a clock if you have one.
