For those who know Spinner and I, you know this isnt an easy post for me to make but spinner has come so far and he NEEDS his person who will take him to do all the things and be consistent.
Meet Spinner, recently turned 8 year old, 14.2h quarter horse gelding. I know his sires lineage but he sells as grade. Just had teeth, vaccines, deworming, and feet recently done. Stands tied nicely, trailers/ hauls nicely, loves water, phenomenal ground work, good for farrier (hes currently barefoot), easy keeper (hes on 1st cut orchard, alfalfa, and triple crown balancer), easy to catch, super smart/ picks things up quickly, willing mind, loves obstacle courses or basically anything that keeps his brain busy, and is going under saddle nicely. Hes been ridden by multiple teenagers under instructors training.
I can say all the nice things and about his potential all day long but with that being said Spinner is also green so will require consistency but also he is reactive and has a high work drive. The more consistent his rider is, the less reactive he is but he still needs that person to keep him busy. He does have a past with abuse and has had to overcome a lot (hes an underdog with a big story). He still struggles a bit with his confidence when someone is mounting but if the rider is confident then he stands there like the best boy (he still tenses up though and it is actively being worked on in his refresher until sold). This boy is not suited for the weekend warrior, though he will retain the training, spinner will succeed with someone who has a high work demand for him. Someone into ranching, competing, OHSET/ WAHSET, etc. Because of his past, I will be picky about where he goes, he deserves to have his own person and has so much to give. You must have experience with green, more go vs woah horses. I am starting him out at 5🥕🥕🥕 with his refresher but once the refresher is done and training continues, the price will go up.
