The dam to our doe — Harman Valley SF Irish Coffee ☕️ Baile has been a favorite of mine for years now at Harman Valley Farm and Flare is Irish’s sire, so naturally she holds a very special place in our herd. ♥️

A early birthday present to myself! A dream doe joined the Solar Flare herd yesterday…

Delta’s dam, Hetlandcreek SS Avachinsky 7*M VVVE89 has the genetics, confirmation, angularity, mammary, and so much more that I look for while building my dream herd. I’m incredibly excited to see what Delta brings and with Steel no longer earthside, I’m especially grateful to have one of his daughters here with me.

I grow this wild patch just for them every year. I let them snack on it in moderation, mainly filled with sunflowers and pumpkins. 🙂

Only one goat on milk test—is that silly? Probably 😂

Zinnia is my only doe in milk right now, and her production is starting to drop. My plan is to keep her in milk as long as I can, just to see what she can really do as she will not be bred this fall. Here’s a nice side profile from LA. She was complimented on this part of her udder, which I have to agree is pretty, too.

Another year, another single goat taken to Linear Appraisal… it’s starting to feel like a pattern, but it won’t always be that way. Thank you to our appraiser for all the knowledge shared. Every single time I learn something new, not just one thing, but multiple. It really is the perfect program to nerd out on.

She’s our first goat to bring an E onto the scorecard with her body capacity and as a bonus, she’s on her way to earning her milk star! I love this doe and am so grateful to have her 🙂
