Featured for this week is our Monosem vacuum planter! 🚜

As a newer addition to our fleet of equipment, we have used this numerous times this season for various plantings including corn and sunflowers.

The vacuum planter allows for more precise planting as it holds the seed and drops it after a plate rotation. Instead of relying on gravity, the vacuum holds the seed until it is time for them to be dropped. This piece of equipment also allows for adjustable spacing based on plate sizes.

Friendly Reminders:
❌ There are NO entry fees or parking fees EVER
🗓️ This season we are only open Friday-Sunday, weather permitting
🍏 Due to the two late freezes, we are NOT offering pick-your-own apples for the 2026 season. We have lost most of our crop and what has survived (as seen in the video above) does not meet our quality standards.

This we have a tractor attachment that has been crafted by one of our team members! 🚜

This is one of our latest additions to our equipment collection! When you visit us each fall, you’ll notice the orange snow fence placed all around the farm. That snow fence takes hours of work and now we can cut that time down by rolling it out and up with this attachment.

This we have the John Deere 4000 and cultimulcher attachment! 🚜

The cultimulcher has three main functions that are carried out during one pass…
1. The crows-foot harrow breaks up clumps of soil that were missed from previous tillage
2. The culters rake through the soil and cover the tractors footprint
3. The cultipacker packs, levels, and smooths the soil so that seeds can be packed firmly

Featured this week on our series is the John Deere 4760 and ripper attachment! 🚜

The John Deere 4760 is the biggest tractor we have on the farm! This tractor features 4wd and 6 tires to aid with traction. The shanks on the ripper drop about 2ft into the soil to help break up compacted areas, such as the parking lots when the season ends.
