Due to the weather related damages suffered from the April freeze our Apple crop sustained a near total loss. The very few that remain will likely not meet our quality standards. However, our fall season will still push on with hayrides, a corn maze, sunflowers, and pumpkins! We welcome everyone to come out and enjoy the fall with more things to come!

๐ŸŒพ Fall might seem far away, but itโ€™s right around the corner for us here at Eastmont. We have already begun preparations.

๐ŸŒฑ This field was a peach orchard back in 2024. Before it is replanted, the soil is given a few years with cover crops to help replenish and recycle the ground. Grass, rye, mustard, and corn are some of the many that farmers use all over the world as cover crops. Cover crops help prevent soil erosion from wind and rain. They also help maintain and improve overall soil health!

Dear Eastmont Orchards Customers,

We would like to inform you that we will not be opening for peach picking this summer as we have lost all of our peach crop after the recent frost. Despite this setback, we will still be opening our gates for the 2026 season. We have new and exciting plans underway to bring to you six weekends of fall family fun. Mark your calendars as we plan to be open each weekend from September 18th through October 25th. We greatly appreciate all the love, support, and kind words we have received during this time. While we may not be open this season as per usual there is still a lot to do on the farm. Stay updated with our social media pages to follow what we are up to and what our plans look like for the fall season! We look forward to seeing everyone again in September!

Thank you,
The Eastmont Team ๐ŸŽ

Dear Eastmont Orchards Customers,

We always appreciate your loyal business and want to let you know that due to extreme fluctuations in temperatures we have suffered some significant crop loss this spring. This is a direct result of those high temperature days which opened the fruit blossoms and the deep freezes overnight which killed the future fruit. We are still actively assessing what the impact will be on our 2026 season. Time will tell and when we know, we will tell you. Please look for an update in a few weeks and we hope to see you in 2026.ย

Thank you for your patronage,
The Eastmont Team ๐ŸŽ

Our beautiful peach blossoms! ๐ŸŒธ

Peach blossoms range in color from pale to hot pink and have a sweet, almond-like scent. Each flower contains both male and female parts, making peach trees self-pollinating. However, bees and the wind can help move pollen within flowers.

The latest buzz! ๐Ÿ

Itโ€™s that time of year where we bring in honey bees to help us prepare for the upcoming fruit season! Honey bees help with pollination, yield, and overall fruit quality!

Spring is blooming and so are our apple trees!

The buds start off pink and as they open up they fade to white. The appearance and color of blossoms can also differ depending on apple variety! This beautiful sight only lasts about 1-2 weeks before the petals start to fall off and the fruit begins to form. ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒณ

๐ŸŒณ Weโ€™ve had lots of questions regarding the peach plot we removed this past season. Hereโ€™s what happens between replantingโ€ฆ

- the soil is tilled to improve structure & aeration for planting
- cover crops are planted to keep the soil in place (prevent erosion) & maintain it
- 2-3 years after removal, new fruit trees can be planted in place of the old ones

๐Ÿ‘ No need to worry because we still have plenty of peach rows to be picked this upcoming season!

Any guesses on what this cover crop could be?! Let us know in the comments!
