Black Angus and Red Angus bred heifers for sale located in East Smithfield, PA
We have had a very busy fall! We have consigned 2 bulls to the PA Bull Test Sale ( 1 black angus 1 red angus) and 3 bulls to the Right on Red sale (all red angus). This is a goal we have aspired too for many years and couldn’t be happier to finally make it happen this year!
Thank you to Dr. Megan Sweppenheiser from Troy Vet Clinic for assisting us in this new venture.
These are the moments we work so hard for. Cultivating a love for cattle and learning to care for beings outside of oneself.
Our farm hands happily accept cosmic brownies as payment. 😂
Congratulations Alysa Williams on her Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer at the Tioga County (Owego) Fair. Her calf was purchased from our farm last fall.
It’s been a good weekend for hay! Dani and Paul spent some time learning how to rake hay this morning. Now pray for some all day slow drizzly rain! 🌧🙏🏻
We are looking forward to many more days like this ahead. ☀️🌈
We can’t get a heifer calf to save our lives this year but dang it we will have some good bull/steers from this year’s crop!
The kids thoroughly enjoyed their first trip to the PA bull test sale. Many hotdogs and snacks were had and a nice longgg nap the whole way home. 💛🥰
This little girl insisted from the moment she woke up this morning that she wanted to see the cows. All morning long it was “Where Daddy at?” and “Go Cows?” So we of course had to go to the farm to check up on all the new calves by lunchtime.
Our sweet little Ethel (pictured in the back) crossed the rainbow bridge today. 🌈 Her best friend Lucy will miss her dearly. 💛
They say “in like a lion out like a lamb, right?” Our first calf of 2022 was born Jan 26th to a first calf heifer. It was quite possibly one of the coldest mornings she could have calved so the calf needed a little warming TLC but was quickly reunited with its momma. It did mean our little mini farmers got in some quality calf time.
Happy Thanksgiving! 🍽🦃
Today, we give thanks — for pastures strewn with Angus cows, to a membership dedicated to quality and ultimately, for the blessings we have been bestowed.
Happy Thanksgiving to our from all of us at the American Angus Association.
🇺🇸
On this day, we honor all current and former members of the United States Armed Forces. Our country’s greatness is built on the foundation of their selflessness, courage and sacrifice and we can never thank them enough.
Happy Veterans Day!
The days are getting shorter and more chilly so the kids and I are enjoying them while they last. 🍂 We can always count on the Herefords to come close hoping for a nibble of grain. ☺️
To the women raising cattle for butcher, but cuddling a wet, struggling newborn calf, that’s covered in afterbirth, inside their pickup truck.
To the women who believe in God and the word, but also believe that everyone has a right to love who they want.
To the women who aren’t trying to prove they can do anything a man can do, but genuinely enjoy pushing themselves to conquer any challenge.
To the women with broken and chipped nails, but still have painted on red polish.
To the women giving immunizations and administering medicine, but still believe in the healing powers of stones and plants.
To the women always dressing up for the occasion, wearing yesterday’s curls, blue jeans, and the heels of cowboy boots.
To the women busting their knuckles and callusing their palms, but still wearing their diamond wedding bands and turquoise jewels.
To the women who want to be in the church pew, but there is work to be done and know God can be worshipped on the back of a horse.
No labels. No boxes. No judgements.
May we know these kind of women. May we be these kind of women. May we raise these kind of women.

Raising kids and cattle 💛
We had a great family night out at the (Owego) Tioga County Fair last night. As always we loved watching Alyssa in the ring with her market steer. Great job with your champion medium weight steer!
Dani proved once again that she might be the spitting image of her momma but she has a heart for cattle like her daddy!
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸
"From Alaska's gold to the Everglades... from the Rio Grande to Maine...
My heart cries out... my pulse runs fast at the might of her domain.
You ask me why I love her?... I've a million reasons why.
My beautiful America... beneath God’s wide, wide sky." - John Wayne
Happy Independence Day!
🇺🇸 Happy Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
Today we remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Thank you. We are forever indebted to you.
We remember, and appreciate, the sacrifices made for our freedoms today, and always.
We have been busy calving! Yesterday we welcomed #19 and will top over 30 by the year's end. We are also hopeful all this rain will bring a bountiful hay harvest this year. Now if we could get a few ☀️ days please!
Our newest farm member, Annabel! 💗
Happy Easter everyone!

Our best barn help! 🥰
All she needs is the cow and she'd be ready to hit the show ring!
Even momma pigs have to share their dinner! 🐷 Can any other moms relate?
Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃
There is always something to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the American Angus Association!

Thank you to the veterans who have protected our great country. Thank you to the men and women who are currently serving and will serve in the future. We greatly appreciate you every day, but especially on this Veteran's Day.
Good night. Sleep tight.
Our best helper! Even the bulls know who is boss!
Ps. The fence was off, she isn't grabbing hot wire. 😂
Pinkie showing the crew how it's done! She farrowed 14 piglets (13 live) in under 3 hours completely unassisted last Friday! This is our first liter from our boar Rupert (purebred Spot).

This is God's country!

Oh the things Nick puts up with around here. The pigs have slowly taken over the cattle barn...!
Our 2020 spring calves have been weaned! What a great group we have this year too! A fee keeper heifers, prospect bulls, and some show steers (soon to be).
We added a new J Bunk feeding station to one of our pastures. The cows are loving it!

What a gorgeous night on the farm. The guys are making first cutting balage while the ladies care for the livestock tonight. PS. Can you count how many times I almost fell while recording this?
A happy night at the farm. Liter #2 has arrived. 🥰🐷🐽 Bred by: Duke @ Bluebird Ridge Farm Jenna Ashby Jeremy Ashby
Happy Thanksgiving y'all! 🦃🍂🍁🍗🍞🍴 What is your favorite Thanksgiving treat? Bo Duke says her favorite is carrots! Yummm!
We have one liter of piglets so far (10 piglets), born on Sunday at 6:45pm! Mommas make a grunting sound while nursing their piglets. This lets them know they are releasing their milk and calms them into a sleepy state. 🐷🐖❤️
Florence is enjoying her dinner tonight. What is on your dinner plate? _________________________________________ #beefitswhatsfordinner #dontforgetyourveggiestoo #grassfed #grainfed #wellfed
We couldn't be more excited about our replacement gilt that we kept out of our last liter! She is showing to be wide though her hips and shoulders while carrying nice length. AI liter of 14 out of a crossbred sow that was bred to a Purebred Yorkshire boar. Lookout for a liter out of this girl at the 2018 Troy Fair!
