BEEFALO BACON BURGER
This BEEFALO & Bacon Burger is full of great flavor, juicy and grilled to perfection, and topped with a mouthwatering sauce! While most bacon burgers have the bacon on top that is not the case here. The Kuhn Family bacon is cooked to a crisp, coarsely chopped, and thrown in the ground BEEFALO!
Made even better by the added flavor of the crushed sour cream & onion potato chips in this burger patty as well.
Between both the bacon and the sour cream & onion chips talk about exploding flavor with every bite. Your family will be licking their lips and begging for more. For some final touches to your Kuhn Family Bacon Burger, you can leave your buns soft or for an added crunch toast the bun beforehand. Also, what better way to finish off your plate than with a few great side dish options like these from some of our friends: macaroni salad, mac & cheese, onion rings, or potato wedges.
INGREDIENTS
Burger
* 1 lb. of 100% grass-fed ground BEEFALO
* 6 slices of Kuhn Family bacon, crisply cooked and coarsely chopped
* 2/3 cup crushed sour cream & onion potato chips
* 1 egg lightly beaten
* 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
* 4 potato bread burger buns
* Lettuce & tomatoes from your garden for “garnish”. You can eat it if you feel the need.
Sauce
* 1/2 cup mayonnaise
* 1.5 Tablespoon sundried tomato paste/puree
* 1 Tablespoon Basil Pesto Sauce
* 1/2 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
GRILLING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Combine mayonnaise, sundried tomato paste, pesto and mustard in a small bowl and set aside.
2. Combine ground BEEFALO, bacon, potato chips, egg, garlic in a large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Lightly shape into four 3/4 inch thick patties. Place patties on grill over medium heat. Grill, uncovered, 10-12 minutes to medium doneness (160 degrees).
3. Line bottom of buns with lettuce and tomato, top with burgers, spoon sauce ever burgers, top burger with bun and serve!
