That’s a wrap on the day and the season! 🍁 We finished with 107 gallons of syrup, right around an average year for us.

Tonight I filled a 5 gallon bucket that will later be used for maple milk at Pretty Cow Creamery 🥛 and we also added a new size to the lineup, 3.4 oz bottles. They are pretty cute!

Looks like spring showed up quick this year. With our mainly south-facing sugarbush, the warm weather has things changing fast. Buds are starting to swell and we’re even seeing some green in the shrubs.

That means today will be the last day of boiling for the season.

If you’ve been wanting to stop in and see the evaporator running, today is your last chance this year. Come by, say hi, and see it in action one more time before we shut it down.

Syrup season is taking a short pause. 🍁

The weather turned pretty cold again, which has slowed the sap down for the moment. But the forecast looks promising, and it should start running again next week.

Until then, we’re thankful to already have over 100 gallons bottled for the season and are ready for the next good run when the temperatures warm back up!

Big shoutout to the guys who keep the fire rolling in the sap house. 🔥

Gary and Jeff have been putting in the hours making sure the evaporator stays hot and the sap keeps boiling. Maple season takes a lot of long days and teamwork, and we couldn’t do it without them.

🪵Huge thank you to Barclay Forestry and Tree Services for stopping down tonight to cut logs for us to split. They make the cutting process quick, safe, and efficient. We appreciate the help getting a head start on next season’s firewood!
