Spring is the best… babies everywhere! These sweet boys love this time of year when there is always baby goats to pet, bunnies to cuddle, and chicks to hold! I am so thankful my grandbabies get to experience caring for our livestock, it has taught them so much.

We have a TAMUK - C doe, first time mom, who has 2-week old kits. We turned the nesting box on its side to let them access the full cage, but every morning and afternoon we find that she has moved the nesting box with the kits in it where the opening fits over the feeder, blocking them in. We move it to a back corner, her fighting us the entire time, only for her to move it back again. Lol she is taking her roll as protector VERY serious!!

Some of you know that I’ve been wanting to add a registered Mini Alpine to my herd ever since Ginger went to live at Big Creek Farms. I went to Leigh & Lee farms in Water Valley on Thursday to add this beautiful doe, Mi Amore, to our herd. While in Water valley I fell outside of a restaurant and shattered my shoulder. I’ve been in the hospital for the past 4 days. In ended up needing a full shoulder replacement surgery- but was able to come home today, and am looking forward to working with Amore once I’m healed and able. In the mean time, she’s being spoiled by several very capable hands💕

Yesterday we had 2 does go into labor at the same time. Harmony delivered triplets like a champ: 2 broken dark buckskin bucklings and 1 black and white doeling. Clover, also in labor, decided to help out and clean the new babies. It was so sweet until she decided she wanted one of the bucklings for herself😩 I separated them just in time for clover to deliver a large doeling breach, that unfortunately did not survive birth🥲. Shortly afterwards she gave us two healthy bucklings. Mommas and babies are all doing well. This concludes spring kidding 2026 for Nature’s Glori Farm!!

Allie surprised us all with a single precious baby today. She has had 5 kids her last 2 kiddings, and triplets as a FF. We’d been praying she wouldn’t have that many, but we wouldn’t have minded twins😂.

Bonnie is in full nest building mode for kits due this weekend. We will have plenty of TAMUK-C babies ready by April. Black magpie doe x Chocolate magpie buck; Black magpie doe x black Japanese Harlequin; Blue doe x black Japanese Harlequin; Agouti doe x chocolate magpie buck.

Maggie is staying close to the barn with more does nearing kidding time- this sweet girl loves her baby goats!!
