Headwaters Farm Headwaters Farm is a family-run farm in Columbia, KY, raising animals naturally and ethically.

We offer eggs, seasonal produce, maple syrup, and custom pork, lamb, and poultry. Proud members of KY Proud, Appalachian Proud, and Homegrown by Heroes.

When we last checked in, the Toms were puffed up, showing off, and doing everything they could to win the attention of our lovely lady.

Well…the final rose ceremony never happened. 😂

Not a single Tom received a rose. 🌹❌ The boys have since relocated to greener pastures, while our hen decided that freedom, the single life, and hanging out with the ducks suited her just fine. 🦆

Apparently she didn’t need a Tom for her happily ever after—just plenty of pasture and a flock of slightly shorter, web-footed friends.

The Bachelorette: Turkey Edition has officially come to an end.

And judging by that face, we think she’s pretty happy with her choice. ❤️

This Labor Day, we’re especially proud of the work—and the people—behind Kentucky agriculture. 🇺🇸🌱

At Headwaters Farm, we are honored to be part of Kentucky Proud, the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s official agricultural marketing program, along with Appalachia Proud and Homegrown by Heroes.

To our family, these names represent more than the banners we display at the farmers market. They represent Kentucky agriculture, our Appalachian roots, our continued commitment to service as veterans, and the future we are working to build for the next generation.

Farming has given us an even greater appreciation for a hard day’s work—and tremendous respect for the farmers and families who have done this work for generations.

This Labor Day, we’re proud to stand among them.

We’re excited to welcome September with several new farm-grown offerings:

🌿 Dried Thai basil
🌻 Sunflower heads
🪵 Bundled firewood

We’ll also have limited quantities of:

🥚 Farm-fresh eggs
🥬 Kale
🥒 Snacking cucumbers
🥒 Slicing cucumbers

Plus plenty of:

🎃 Pumpkins in several varieties
🫑 Bell peppers
🍂 Butternut squash

Each believes he has what it takes to win her heart—but only one can receive the final rose. 🌹

We found a beautiful surprise in today’s egg basket—our very first olive-colored egg! 🫒🥚

We never intentionally planned or bred for this color, but apparently, our flock had plans of its own. We couldn’t be more excited to add this gorgeous shade to the beautiful mix of white, cream, brown, blue, and green eggs our hens already provide.

One of the sweetest parts of raising chickens is discovering the little surprises they leave behind—and today’s surprise was certainly something special! 💚

What a wonderful surprise to find the calves all lined up, patiently waiting to watch the kids walk down the hill to the bus stop. It was such a sweet and peaceful start to this beautiful morning—just a little farm-style send-off before another school day begins. 💛🚌

The rooster let out a crow, and apparently the turkey boys took that as their cue to gobble, puff up, and show off for the lady hen! 🐓🦃

Somebody had to make sure she was impressed. 😂
