The turkeys are officially settling into pasture life, and their personalities are growing right along with them. Every day brings new adventures as they explore the shade, forage alongside the chickens, and become more confident on the farm. It’s been a joy watching these curious poults thrive in a natural environment.

At Headwaters Farm, every season is another step toward building a lifetime of happiness—for our family, our animals, and everyone who follows along on this journey. 🌱

It’s hard to believe these poults have been with us for a month! They’ve grown from tiny brooder babies into confident young turkeys exploring fresh pasture, shade trees, and plenty of room to roam.

Every move we make is part of raising healthy, happy birds with space to forage and be turkeys. Their personalities are shining through—some are fearless explorers, while others prefer to follow the flock.

We’re excited to watch them continue to grow and can’t wait to share the next chapter of their journey with you!

While we’re searching for shade, the garden is thriving. protecting our vegetables, and the hoop house is overflowing with summer growth.

Summer farming isn’t always comfortable, but seeing the garden come alive makes every early morning and sweaty afternoon worth it. Nature has a way of reminding us that growth often comes through the hottest seasons.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Headwaters Farm! ❤️🤍💙

This Independence Day, we’re especially grateful for the opportunity to raise our family, grow good food, and serve our community.

Today, our girls are running the booth (Farmers Market on the Square), learning the value of hard work, responsibility, and the importance of supporting local. Watching them grow alongside the farm is one of the greatest blessings we could ask for.

If you’re out celebrating today, stop by and say hello! We’d love to help you fill your table with fresh, locally grown produce.

From our family to yours, have a safe, joyful, and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸🌱

250 years of American pride 🇺🇸

From the rolling hills of Kentucky to farms and communities across this nation, generations have worked, served, sacrificed, and built a future for those who would follow.

As a dual-veteran family, we are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy each day—the opportunity to raise our children, care for this land, and build a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.

Today, we celebrate America’s 250-year story and those who helped write it.

Happy Independence Day from our family at Headwaters Farm.

Moving sheep isn’t just about setting up a new paddock. It’s about teaching the next generation to care for the land, respect animals, and work together as a family.

Today, the kids helped move the temporary fencing, crossed the little creek, and watched the flock settle into fresh pasture. They may not realize it yet, but moments like these are shaping skills and memories that will last a lifetime.

Around here, farming isn’t just what we do—it’s something we get to share together.
