The Balvenie 12-Year-Old Home Malted Barley

Part of The Balvenie 1931 Collection, which honors the distillery’s historic 1931 home malt floor and its landmark 88-year-old release.

Barley: Made from 100% hand-malted barley grown at the Mains of Balvenie farm and partner farms.

Maturation: Initially aged in American oak casks, then finished in European oak ex-Sherry butts sourced from Jerez, Spain.

Tasting Profile

• Nose: Warm biscuit, green malt, honeyed toffee, creamy caramel, delicate ginger, and aromatic oak.
• Palate: Mellow barley sugar sweetness, crystallised ginger, subtle raisin, and rich spice.
• Finish: Velvety, smooth, and lingering.
