We’ve got a full 30-pound sack of fresh green peanuts cooking low and slow—seasoned with salt, crushed red pepper, and Zatarain’s Shrimp & Crab Boil. 🌶️🔥

Now comes the hard part…waiting for them to get tender and soak up all that Cajun flavor!

🚜 The LS tractor and Lancer tiller went to work!

We’re preparing this ground for our next round of fall vegetables at Bill’s Produce & More. Once the soil is ready,, we’ll install weed-resistant ground cover and start planting collard greens, mustard greens, and turnips. 🥬🌱

There’s still more work ahead, but it feels good watching this growing area take shape!

🚜 Another big step forward at Bill’s Produce & More!

The newest member of the BPAM operation officially went to work today!

We put the LS tractor and rotary cutter to work doing some bush hogging and beginning the process of reclaiming and maintaining more of the property.

This tractor isn’t just a new piece of equipment, it gives us the ability to prepare ground, maintain growing areas, manage vegetation and continue expanding what we can produce right here at BPAM.

There’s a lot more work ahead, but this is exactly what growth looks like: one pass, one project and one improvement at a time. 🌱

🚜 THE WAIT IS OVER.

Today marks a major milestone for Bill’s Produce & More.

We’ve spent a lot of time planning where BPAM is going — expanding production, improving our growing operation, developing the property and building the infrastructure needed to become a stronger local farm.

Today, another piece of that plan came home.

Our new LS MT226HEC and equipment package is officially joining the BPAM operation. This isn’t just a new tractor. It gives us the ability to turn plans on paper into work on the ground.

There’s a LOT of work waiting for us back in Mississippi.

Now we have the equipment to do it.

💙🚜 Time to get to work.

🐔 Another milestone at Bill’s Produce & More!

Yesterday was our first full meat-bird processing day from start to finish.

Raising them was only part of the journey. Processing our own birds meant learning every step of the process: humane dispatch, scalding, plucking, cleaning, rapid ice chilling, overnight refrigeration and finally shrink-wrapping the finished birds.

Was everything perfect? No, and I won’t pretend it was. This was our first run, and I already see several areas where I can improve the process and presentation. That’s part of building something the right way: learn, make adjustments and get better every time.

What I’m proud of is knowing exactly where these chickens came from, how they were raised and how they were handled from our farm all the way to the finished bird.

The next processing day will be better than the first. And the one after that will be better still.

🐓🚜 BIG THINGS ARE COMING TO BILL’S PRODUCE & MORE! 🚜🐓

What started as an idea is officially taking shape.

The trailer is here. The materials are loaded. And construction on BPAM’s new mobile laying-hen coop is getting underway! 💪🏾🔨

This isn’t just about building another chicken coop. This is about building infrastructure for growth — giving our flock more space, improving how we manage our birds, increasing egg production capacity, and continuing to build BPAM into a sustainable operation capable of serving more families in our community.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but seeing the lumber sitting on that trailer makes the vision feel a whole lot more real.

From a bare trailer ➡️ to a purpose-built mobile coop ➡️ to fresh BPAM eggs. 🥚🐔

We’re building this thing one board, one bird, and one customer at a time.

🦃 Just Another Morning at BPAM

The turkey crew was out enjoying a little sunshine and fresh grass this morning, and somebody clearly decided it was time to show off! 😂🦃

Watching these birds grow has definitely been one of the more enjoyable parts of building Bill’s Produce & More. From poultry and eggs to expanding our farm operation, we’re steadily working toward raising more of what we eat and providing more locally produced food for our community.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but days like this are a good reminder to enjoy the process.
